A few thoughts on reader insert:

I love imagining myself in a different situation — profession, epoch, life stage or a mystical creature, all these things shape personality so reader cop is not reacting like reader consultant etc. still I can make it mine.

I can't find the meme, but there's a meme about the asexual person who's like YESS GIVE ME YOUR DIRTIEST PORN and I die laughing every time.

I am like, 50% "oh yes let us write realistic kink, inclusivity, structured shit with worldbuilding and research and character development"....

...and 50% fucking horny thoughts that should probably never see the light of day. 😂 😂 I'm sure I confuse the shit out of some people.

Also recently I've been reading pretty much nothing but /Reader degradation fics with Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan characters and at some point I went "oh wait! For most people, is the 'you'.... you?" No, legit, somehow my mind has just transformed "you" into like, a third person pronoun about some random naive cis female character who shapeshifts. Cool, cool, cool.
