Another poll for the short story and what type of day you want to have with our beloved Knight.

Poll Choices Description Below:

Flower Day- You and Knight go foraging for useful plants but get distracted teaching The Knight about the pretty flowers. To which they begin learning how to flower crowns for their precious Royalty (you btw). And they can not hold back how much they like seeing you surrounded by pretty things and having you all to themselves.

Shopping Day- A trip into town to pick up some things and show The Knight around. You get your own protector and bag carrier, treating them to cafe which is totally not date in anyway. On the way back to the estate via wagon and horse, The Knight keeps you both occupied on the way home in the back of the wagon. It's a long way home after all.

Library Day- A quick trip into the quiet library looking for tomes for some specific elixir the Lord has requested. However, after hours of searching and helping you reach the top shelves, The Knight begins to grow bored and asks for a little treat for being so helpful throughout the day. Wink-wink, nudge-nudge

A few thoughts on reader insert:

I love imagining myself in a different situation — profession, epoch, life stage or a mystical creature, all these things shape personality so reader cop is not reacting like reader consultant etc. still I can make it mine.

Need some help: What is the (or your) optimal way to find x reader fics that have zero description of the reader beyond afab/amab?

The tag gn reader is the optimal one for when even that much isn't described. But what falls between the too-often-assumed-white reader and poc!reader as far as tags are concerned? The generic "x reader" is a format tag imo, not a "generic reader."

nondescript!reader or generic!reader seem very uninviting and I wouldn't want to use those.

Does anyone have any they use to tag or search with? Does one need to be invented?

I would love to have a tag that truly means "this reader is not described as white to the exclusion of others" in the way that gn!reader signifies "this reader is not described as one gender to the exclusion of others."

Hey everyone- money's been a little tight lately with me being in between jobs at the moment, and with my top surgery approaching, I will be out of work for a minimum of two weeks for recovery, which means I won't be getting a paycheck at all for that period of time. So to remedy that for the future, I have decided to start offering writing commissions! I’ll be writing Self-Insert or Reader-Insert romance fics for all your self-shipping needs. <3 For the moment, I will only be writing for certain fandoms. As time goes on and if I get enough people interested, I may expand my list later on. Feel free to ask about what fandoms/characters I will and won't do, as well as what elements and can and cannot write as well!

All commissions will have a $5 MINIMUM flat rate deposit that I will require before I start your piece. Base prices are below as follows (subject to change):

Less than 100 words- $5 100-500 words- $10 500-1000 words- $20 1000-2500 words- $25 2500-5000 words- $40 5000-7500 words- $50 7500-10000 words- $70 More than 10000 words- $100

I can and will write NSFW if it is requested, HOWEVER, it will take me longer to implement it depending on the amount of scenes and complexity of them. Because of this, any commission that includes NSFW elements will add an additional price onto your piece (this can range anywhere from $5-$30.)

Also, how did you start out writing reader-insert fics? It’s a branch of fanfic I’ve never really delved into before. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get into it, but I am very curious about it!

Before I ever started writing fics, I was (and still am) an avid reader of them. I think reading others’ work really helps in understanding and developing your own skill in a certain genre or branch of writing. And of course, writing is always good practice too.

I started writing reader-insert fanfic because there were ideas I wanted to see written that I just couldn’t find on the internet.

Reader-inserts are just another perspective to write from. It’s similar to writing any other type of fanfic. One of your main protagonists will just be the reader. In writing reader-centric works, you get to develop a character while also allowing your audience to have freedom to add their own elements to the “reader” character while enjoying your work. That is one aspect I really love about writing reader-inserts.
