I love imagining myself in a different situation — profession, epoch, life stage or a mystical creature, all these things shape personality so reader cop is not reacting like reader consultant etc. still I can make it mine.
what situation have you put yourself in that surprised you by fitting?

//TW// abuse, strong language, violence, gore, etc. Also, the plot is going to be based on the manga!
A/N : I just want to point out that I love Grell, whom of which is in this chapter I WILL be referring to Grell with male pronouns strictly because the characters in the anime do the same. I apologize if this offends, I am simply trying to stick as close to the anime/manga as I can.
You were in a carriage on the way to Ciel's townhouse in London after receiving a letter. Ciel had wanted you to accompany him on this case due to the nature of it. You told him you would only go if Mara could come along. You refused to be in another situation where you had no idea what the fuck was going on because you were too careless to pay attention to the anime. But, in your defense, this would never happen to any other people, so you thought your neglect was fine.
You forgot that Mara and Ciel hadn't exactly had a lot of one-on-one time. Now, the entire ride all you've heard is her questioning the young Earl about anything and everything, probably driving him mad. He wasn't showing it much, though.
After a few more minutes, the carriage came to a halt. You faintly heard Ciel mutter, "Finally," under his breath. After Sebastian opened the door, he said, "Young Master, it's been a while since you last went out, hasn't it?"
After speaking, Sebastian assisted Ciel out of the carriage, Ciel began to complain. "I couldn't care less who sent that letter, I hate being in crowded places."
"You're telling me." You mutter, hopping out of the carriage before Sebastian could even offer you his hand. "Crowded places are not it man." You watch as Mara pops her head from the carriage. As she sees the townhouse, she squeals quietly. She takes Sebastians hand and is immediately by your side, "It looks so much better than I thought it would!" She whisper-yells. You roll your eyes lightly, "Mara you've even said that about the bathroom since we arrived." You shake your head slightly.
Ciel had already begun to walk inside with Sebastian, not wanting to wait for the two of you. Unfortunately for her, your cell phone had died a long while ago, otherwise, you knew she'd be attempting to take pictures.
The two of you began to follow the Earl. Mara had informed you before your trip to London that Grell would be here. You couldn't remember many of the characters from the show other than the main few. You knew he was a reaper though so you had already decided that you would keep your distance from him for a bit. Mara had also been stressed slightly because she knew the 'Jack the Ripper' case was quickly approaching.
Thankfully Ciel hadn't questioned the two of you on your knowledge of this universe, only what you knew of him and his butler.
As you walk inside you hear Sebastian make a comment to his master about how much more peaceful it would be without the other servants. You then see that he's spoken too soon because the place is ruined. Madam Reed and Lau had torn apart the townhouse looking for tea leaves. "Madam red?! Lau?! Why are you here?" Ciel exclaimed as you sighed. Mara nudges you, telling you to be polite. Ciel then tells Sebastian to go prepare tea.
"Since my cute little nephew is in London, how could I not come visit while you were here?" Madam Red responds, she then glances back to see the two of you, "Oh? Ciel you never told me you hired new staff!" She says with a smile before approaching the two of you. "Hello, I'm Madam Red!"
Ciel sighs, "Yes, meet my...bodyguard, (Y/n), and my assistant chef, Mara."
You were horrid at introductions, so you awkwardly greeted her, responding with your name. Mara, however, greeted the woman as enthusiastically as she could. Madam Red turned to Ciel, "I like this one!" she says with a grin. The trio then walks into the other room, leaving you Mara, and, oh lovely, Grell. Mara approaches him and begins to make small talk; he stutters out some responses.
You stand awkwardly, unsure of what to do. You jump at Sebastian's voice, "(Y/n), would you like to help me serve the master and his guests?" he offers as he proceeds to walk past you with a tea cart. You shrug, "Why not, better than making small talk here I guess."
You follow him into the other room, the nobles are seated and speaking to one another. You let Sebastian do the speaking since, well, he's clearly more well-versed than you are. After a moment you see Grell and Mara following suit, Grell taking his place behind Madam Red and Mara behind Ciel.
Sebastian proceeds to tell them what kind of tea is being served then he motions for you to serve it. You managed to successfully pour the tea without causing any casualties. Afterward, Madam Red made a comment on Sebastian's tea-making. "Grell, you should follow his example." She says whilst side-eyeing the man. You couldn't quite remember if Grell was a reaper or not, you'd have to ask Mara later, you couldn't do it here because of the supernatural creatures in the room which had amazing ears. You decide to shuffle over next to Mara so you can be out of everyone's way.
You lean over to whisper to her, "Hey this is the Jack the Ripper shit, right?"
Mara nods before whispering back, "Did they ever find out who it was, ya know, in our dimension?"
You shrug, "I think it was some barber guy named Aaron Kosminski. I can't remember when they announced that, though."
"Anyways," Madam Red starts before literally caressing Sebastian's ass, "Every time I see you, you're still so handsome! Why don't you simply quit working here and come serve me!" This causes you to almost lose composure and burst out laughing. You mask it with a cough, looking up to make eye contact with the butler who looks less than amused though, he plays it off politely and steps away from her and standing to your right.
"I've heard about the case of prostitutes being murdered on the streets lately." Ciel starts. "This isn't an ordinary case; the deaths are very abnormal. That's why the queen is concerned." Ciel says before reaching down to take a bite of the cake Sebastian had served along with the tea.
Sebastian took over speaking, "The murdered prostitute was named Mary Ann Nichols. The wounds looked as if they were done using a sharp tool allowing for a painful death." Ciel looks up from his cake before saying, "The police and other prostitutes call the murderer 'Jack the Ripper'."
"There it is," you mumble. You tune out the rest of their conversation as you again speak to Mara. "Hey, does this mean we're about to meet that one funny funeral guy?" You ask, causing Mara to beam. She nods enthusiastically, "Yep!"
"I actually really like that guy, what was his name again?" You ask, wishing you'd paid attention the many times Mara had played the anime around you. You saw Sebastian's brow twitch out of the corner of your eye causing you to turn to him. "What?"
"His name is the Undertaker; please do not tell me you are fond of him as you say." He says with an almost judgmental look on his face. This causes you to shrug, "The guy is goofy, I just think he's funny." You pause and grin, "What? Are you jealous or something?" You snicker causing the butler to roll his eyes. "I assure you that I am nowhere near jealous of that man." He shakes his head slightly as he speaks.
That was when Ciel ordered Sebastian to go get the carriage. Ciel, Mara and you piled in, followed by Madam Red, Lau, and Sebastian, leaving Grell to drive. You were wedged between Mara and Sebastian throughout the ride. Mara was talking to you excitedly as your group made its way to The Undertakers shop.
Once arriving you exit the carriage as Madam Red immediately speaks, "Why are you familiar with this kind of place?!" Sebastian takes it upon himself to respond, "Because the person the Young Master knows works as an undertaker." You realized that you'd missed the part of the conversation where Ciel was speaking about someone who could help.
Sebastian holds open the door allowing for you all to file in. "Are you there, Undertaker?" Ciel asks into the dimly lit room. This causes laughter to immediately follow. You glance over to see Mara buzzing with excitement.
"I knew that you'd come, welcome Earl." You hear you glance to your left as you see a coffin open, revealing none other than the silver-haired man. "Do you want to see how it feels to sleep in one of my custom-made coffins?"|He pauses before glancing over towards Mara and yourself, "How about either of you?" Ciel rolls his eyes, at least you think that's what happened. "I'm not here to play Undertaker." This causes the Undertaker to chuckle, "I know why you came. Since the earl went out of his way to visit me, I'll certainly do everything I can to help." He speaks, the smile never leaving his face. "Please, take a seat first, I'll make tea," he says as he shuffles out of the room.
Mara is bouncing next to you, "I can't believe we just saw him in person, (Y/n)!" She says as she grabs your arm. "Yeah, he's a tad creepy, but you know what, I'll take this over some of the actual creeps I've met in my life." You say shrugging. Ciel sits on a coffin silently and waits for the Undertaker's return. He glances over to the two of you and you can see slight judgment over Mara's excitement.
Undertaker returns, "Now then, you wanted to know about Jack the Ripper? Everyone has been scared because of this disturbance but this isn't the first time I've handled this kind of thing."
You furrow your brows, "This isn't the first time? Were the last victims prostitutes as well?" Undertaker nods while eating one of his biscuits, "In fact, the way they were killed was similar too." He pauses, "The murdered prostitutes did have something in common."
"What is it? " Ciel questions with furrowed brows. "What is it indeed." The Undertake responds with his usual grin. This causes Lau to hum to himself off to the side, "I see, that's how it is. You're very good at doing business Undertaker, how much money do you want for this information?" Almost immediately, Undertaker is in Lau's face, "Money? I don't want any of the Queen's money!" He then turns to Ciel, "Now then Earl," he approaches him, "I only require one thing. Show me a first-rate laugh! I'll tell you anything if I get it."
Lau cleared his throat, "Let me handle this." You already knew the next two jokes would be horrible. That being said, while the other two were trying to make the undertaker laugh, you nudged Ciel. He looks up at you, "If you think you can succeed, be my guest." He responds, obviously not caring.
You walk up to the undertaker and motion for him to lean down, you whisper into his ear. You back away and not even two seconds later the man is cackling. You turn around and make eye contact with Sebastian who has a questioning look on his face. You shrug and return to your place next to Mara. "Dude, what did you say to him?" She asks. You side-eye her, "I literally just told him a dick joke. Men always find those to be funny." You hear Sebastian scoff beside you causing you to glance over. "What, you're different?" You ask him.
"Of course I'm different, jokes of that sort are for the dull-minded." He responds. You laugh, "I guess everyone in our period is dull-minded then, well at least you have something to look forward to." This causes the demon to shake his head. Before he can speak, the undertaker begins, "The corpses were missing organs. That prostitute isn't a whole woman anymore. Because her womb is gone." Everyone, aside from Mara, Sebastian, and yourself, of course, seemed to be disturbed.
"Let's just say there aren't many people out on the streets at night. But, accurately cutting out specific organs couldn't be a normal person, correct?" Sebastian asks. The undertaker then goes on to explain how the murderer is killing his victims. "It seems that the murderer is an expert. He will keep committing crimes, he definitely will. Unless someone stops him, of course. Can you stop him? Notorious Earl of Phantomhive." The undertaker finishes. "There must be an influence manipulating him from behind," Ciel mutters to himself before walking out.
As all of you pile back into the carriage, you glance over towards Sebastian. "So, what do you think about it? Do you have any ideas yet?" You ask. Sebastian places his hand on his chin, "The murderer would have to be an anatomical expert, but also know where the police are when they commit the crime."
"Where do we start? There are so many people gathered at the capital right now. Many doctors, head physicians, and medical schools could be the culprits!" Madam Red exclaims. "Then we shall wait until 'the season' is over with to investigate. As we cannot investigate clearly during 'the season.'"
Ciel then orders Sebastian to go compile a list of suspects. Madam Red's Jaw drops as Sebastian opens the door. "Please excuse me if I leave now." He says just before effortlessly hopping from the carriage. You sigh, already remembering who the murderer or murderers are. "This is going to be an annoying investigation." You mutter to yourself as the carriage continues its return to the townhouse.

**Note: L kind of OOC?, in this in public L goes by Ryusaki and you call him Ryu for short
Your boyfriend was anything but normal. You knew that going into this relationship. One thing that came with dating someone like L was that your dates were always anything but normal. For one you almost never go out on dates in public. Dates usually consisted of hanging out in the apartment watching movies and eating cake or other sweets. The few times you guys did end up going out on public dates they almost always ended badly and today was no different. L was paranoid about people knowing who he was, after all many people probably want him dead though many others would praise him for his work. He was always extremely cautious and jumpy when you two were out. The outings usually never lasted more than an hour or two before L freaked and Watari would have to come get you guys. Today you two were out on a walk enjoying nature when L sneezed. A man nearby walked over to offer him a tissue when L flipped this man over his shoulder and the guy landed hard on his back. “Ryu why did you just flip this poor man?” you ask as you help the guy up. “It was just self-defense.” “Ryu… he was JUST handing you a tissue.” “It could have concealed a weapon… or better yet it could have been covered in chloroform.” “Or hear me out… it was just a NORMAL tissue.” After the mini argument you bowed apologizing to the guy and decided it was time to go back home. “I prefer our in-home dates anyways.” “Me too Ryu… Me too.” You couldn’t help but smile as you headed home, he really was special and he was all yours. Your dates and honestly most of your relationship may not be normal but you were okay with that because you love L exactly as he is.
Also I wrote this as a stream of consciousness so like it might seem all over the place. I do apologize for that but like Naruto is living in my head 24/7 especially since I finished the manga!
I don’t know why, but I always have this idea of Naruto having a mother figure reader who is Minato’s younger sister or super close to Minato or Kushina. I could go forever and write about this nonstop
📍So like when Naruto is born, the reader is like 14 years old. The reader doesn’t immediately take him in cuz she has the villager mindset for a bit of being like this little kid killed her precious big brother. So she wants nothing to do with him until she older and more mature.
📍When she is like 18-19, you kinda realizes that it isn’t Naruto’s fault and so you decide to like secretly watch over him until he’s like 6 and go to The Hokage stating that you were gonna take of him. And he reluctantly agreed as long as the reader doesn’t tell Naruto about his parents
📍ofc Naruto is a little wary. This random person comes up and is like I’m gonna take care of you. The reader doesn’t force Naruto to live with her but is around him more often. This villagers start to talk about her like “why would she take him in” and “she must me a monster like his mother” and that ofc strikes a cord cuz as far as you knew the villagers never had any strife against Kushina being a jinchuriki
📍 anyways time moves on and Naruto goes to the academy. And then the one filler episode where child naruto goes into the backwood and gets attacked by ninja. You were away on a mission when this happens and when you come back and hear what happens. You go berserk because who would tell a child to go into an enemy territory knowingly that they could get killed.
📍 you storms in Naruto’s classroom still in your mission gear. Looks around the room and instantly hugs Naruto. Naruto is so confused with what’s going on because he thought you would be back home tomorrow not today! He’s like “Ma! Why are here?” Poor baby is so confused
📍you pull away and starts to look over for injuries. You tell him how you heard what happened and need to see for yourself that he was okay. Poor Iruka is like “(y/n)-San…” cuz you literally interrupted class. You apologize to Iruka and leave slightly embarrassed, but before you leave you make sure thanks him for protecting Naruto cuz you already lost too many people in your life
📍 time skip to when he tries the graduation test for the third time. You were once again away on a mission and comeback in the midst of the whole Naruto steals the secret scroll. You are confused because you thought you raised him better and he may cause a lot mischief but he’s not a theif. You arrive to the hokage and profusely apologize for Naruto’s behavior.
📍 the hokage reassures you that Naruto is not in trouble and was merely manipulated. You look back at him confused and he explains how Mizuki manipulated Naruto into doing his dirty work. By the time he finished the story, you are already rushing towards the forest to find Naruto. You meet him and Iruka at the gate and rush to Naruto.
📍you ingulf him in a tight hug and cover him in kisses because you were so worried for his safety. You actually shed a few tears as you examine him for injury. You completely ignore the leaf shinobi I headband he’s wearing until he’s says something about it. “Hey Ma! Notice anything different??”
📍 you are so proud of him and you start to cry again but for a different reason and you hug Naruto again. You finally turn to Iruka and do a full bow thanking him for once again saving Naruto. He’s so embarrassed by you doing that he literally stutters and tells you not to thank him. You don’t care and start taking out your wallet to give him money as a thank you. He ofc stops you and is like don’t give me money
📍you decide to take Iruka out to ramen as a thank you and bring Naruto along as a celebration! You say you would treat but you Iruka are literally arguing about who is covering the bill and Naruto is eating like his 10th bowl of ramen looking between the two of you
I’m just saying that I could go on for days and hours on this trope of Mother-Figure! Reader to Naruto and I am very sad that there is not a lot of inserts. I would say this lives rent free in my head 24/7. Like I said I could go-on and this is already so long and I’m not even close to done covering this😩😭
baal x reader x ayaka PLEASE where it’s jealousy on both ends (baal being cutely jealous of ayaka and vice versa)

HI BABES
sorry for all the inactivity and stuff I have been somewhat productive tho so it's not all bad >:D
wrote this oneshot on my school cp
BAAL X READER X AYAKA
Summer festivals had to be your favorite time of the year. Then you could finally get out of the Shogun’s estate and taste the fresh air for the first time in what felt like forever. You were the Shogun’s personal assistant; you handled all foreign and political affairs while she was unavailable. You were busy constantly thanks to the Vision Hunt Decree.
“(Y/N)? Is that you?”
Ayaka’s face was painted with pleasant surprise once her eyes met your own.
“Yup! I finally make my appearance! I’m assuming you’re here for the summer festival. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you take interest in these kinds of things. Not that I’m complaining, I missed you.” You were perplexed to see Ayaka standing here, almost doubting yourself for a moment.
Ayaka never took part in things like these, she either never had time to or just didn’t know how to make an appearance. You were the same way, many of the civilians had mixed feelings towards you, you were the Shogun’s lapdog after all. Ayaka’s feelings were left unspoken as the both of you slowly walked by all carts, the smell of fresh dango making your mouth salivate in excitement. You could only spend your pocket money, which wasn’t much to begin with. However, Ayaka was here. Who knows when you’d ever be able to see her again? The least you could do is spoil her.
Ayaka was conflicted, she was against the Vision Hunt Decree with all her heart as a vision bearer and as a civilian of Inazuma. You worked directly under the Shogun, the head of the entire organization. A tinge of jealousy pricked into Ayaka’s stomach; the Shogun got to spend so much time with you… Meanwhile she hasn’t seen you in what feels like years! She understood your little wiggle room, but she couldn’t help but feel so troubled. She wishes you’d try and make more time to come down and spend time with her at the Kamisato estate! Her gaze was fixated on you as you bargained with the vender selling mochi balls.
She admired you, so much. Your status, the way you walked, just by the way your voice escaped your lips made her feel like she was floating despite her feet still being planted on the earth. Her face felt as if it was melting, her cheeks flushed.
“Are you okay? You’re all red,” you interrupted her thoughts, the back of your hand reaching out to her forehead, “Are you sick?”
Ayaka flushed, stepping back for a moment. Which only made you even more concerned with the constipated look on her face, you worried you might have made her uncomfortable inviting yourself to walk with her. You hadn’t seen one another in quite a while… Perhaps it’s just too awkward to work through by yourself.
“N-no… It’s fine! You just surprised me was all… I was spacing out, I’m sorry,” her formal apology caught you off guard.
You disregarded your doubts laughing softly at her sudden outburst. You trusted if she was uncomfortable, she would leave on her own, she knows you well enough that you wouldn’t mind. A tray of dango reached her empty hands, your fingers brushing against hers made her heart ache. You kept a tray for yourself, wincing at the heat once you put a ball in your mouth.
Ayaka’s laugh reached your ears, “You need to blow on it first (Y/N), you’ll burn yourself!”
You listened to her instructions and started blowing on the ball slowly, the steam flowing in the soft wind. Ayaka could stay like this forever… Laughing with you, seeing your face full of satisfaction, the soft beats of fireworks in the background painting the sky with their color… Just being with you by itself was a blessing for her.
However, it was short lived.
“(Y/N)! You’re required back at the estate! New agreements from Mondstadt have arrived!” A samurai in a deep violet uniform marched up to you, face hidden.
You sighed, “I’ll take care of it tomorrow, the shogun herself let me on this break… Leave me be.”
The samurai merely bowed and walked in the same direction he came from, likely to report that you had declined his demand. Ayaka’s heart began aching again at the mention of the Shogun, the same Shogun that has caused so much suffering and trial… Now keeping you all to herself, the ugly feeling of envy was back sitting in her chest.
“I don’t mean to be selfish,” Ayaka started, still looking at the tray on untouched dango, “But, would it be much trouble to pay me a visit every now and then? I’m sorry if I’m being pushy and I know you’re very busy, I just miss you is all.”
(Y/N) would be so much safer with me too…
At first, you were caught off guard by her sudden request. Then you remained quiet.
“I’m hardly ever allowed to leave the estate, I actually lied to the Shogun about coming here to begin with believe it or not. I told her it was a family emergency, there’s no way she’d let me go otherwise. I’m sworn to secrecy, about plans, foreign trading, all the political nonsense. That is why I am forbidden from leaving that estate, I’m untrusted by her because I have such a high rank. I know so many secrets that I could use them against her if I wanted to,” your voice was soft, Ayaka’s shoulder now leaning on yours.
“I see. I’m sorry,” Ayaka wasn’t mad at you, she respected you in every humanly way possible.
Which was why she is envying the Shogun who kept you all to herself so much. Ayaka didn’t know anything besides what she was told or rumors regarding the Shogun, ignorance was bliss in her case. She wanted to help you break free, but little did she know… You were absolutely fine like this.
“It’s not your fault, but I’m sort of happy like this. Although I rarely get to go outside the walls of the estate, I do get to remain almost untouchable. Even by the rebels,” she nodded at your statement.
Ayaka remained silent beside you, as did yourself. Finishing the dango on the tray and returning the wooden plank back to the vendor for more. You looked back at her; sadness reflected in her eyes.
“I’m taking off, I don't want them suspecting anything. I’m glad I ran into you! Sorry we can’t watch all the fireworks together. Tell Yoimiya I said hi!”
She was speechless as she watched your figure disappear into the night, the lanterns no longer illuminating your body. You were gone. Who knows when she was going to see you again? Your voice echoed inside her head, a constant mantra of syllables flowing from your lips. Adoration and love were the only thing she felt when her eyes met your own. She’s going to hold on to this feeling, that way she can express it to you next time the two of you meet.
As you sauntered through the long halls of the night, the buzzing of the bugs filled the air as you followed the narrow path back to the city. An all-familiar chill invaded your senses, you turned around to see the Shogun right behind you in the flesh.
“I got you dango! I know how much you like it!” Your smile was blinding and sincere, seeing your face seemed to dissipate her blind rage.
Her voice was soft when she spoke, “Please come back, I was scared when you were gone for more than two hours… Then when I heard you were slacking off, I rushed here to tell you off. All those words seem to be suddenly lost suddenly.”
You remained quiet; your arm outstretched with the tray of dango. Baal took it quietly, the wood softly clattering in her hands.
“That girl,” her eyes were hidden underneath the shadows of her bangs, “That Kamisato girl, who is she to you?”
You shrugged, “A friend, I hadn’t seen her in a while, so it was really nice to see her again.”
Her heart felt heavy inside her ribcage, her stomach turning but not at the smell of the dango in her hands. These sudden feelings were so confusing, she was less mad about you suddenly leaving but madder you were spending time with another woman other than herself. Was she suddenly unimportant to you?
She stuck the dango in her mouth and chewed it slowly. You walked beside her— you had no idea how strongly the pair of women felt so strongly about you.
Ayaka felt so much more than friendship, but could only rely on the after images of you to fall in love with… Only the echoes of your voice.
The Shogun was headstrong, on the mission to achieve eternity. You would normally be only a pawn for her to manipulate, but the chessboard had seemed to twist and distort. She felt as if she was in your control.
And she enjoyed every second of it, as long as she was only yours.
Yours only.
Ayaka was no different, the wood of her fan shattering in her hands as rage fueled in her veins. Behind the pillar of the torii at the entrance of the festival… raw anger and jealousy pierced her.
He couldn't stand him. How he didn't hang on to every word you said, the way he dismissed the sweet and catering actions you made and how he would roll his eyes at you when you talked about the new job promotion you received. He didn't deserve you and he knew it. Your boyfriend. Your halfwitted, imprudent, harebrained boyfriend.
God he hated him so much. Okay, maybe hated was strong, but his disliking for him was so immense that this made his mood instantaneously shift the moment he would even feel his aura within a five mile radius. Serious;y, he had it out for this guy.
But why did he care? Why did he care so much that you were with a man who was not worthy of your saccharine love. If he could he would drown himself in you. If he hadn't the duty of being a Clansman of the Silver King he would give you his heart, soul and body.
That's what he would catch himself saying about you. No, he didn't have time for such silly things. Love was not his to proritize at the very moment. In fact, it was the last thing on his list. But he couldn't get you out of his head no matter how hard he had tried.
When he would lay at night, he found himself thinking about you. In more ways then one. He imagined that you were in his bed driving you over the edge and pleasing you the way you knew that he wouldn't.
『 I think I'm in love, you're like my twin flame
You and I, we're perfectly aligned, it drives me insane
That he gets to call you mine
When he don't get your brain like I do 』
The times that he did speak to you, he felt like he was on cloud nine. Your smile, your warmth and the way you would always bring him homecooked meals when the Neko would selfishly finish his food when he wasn't looking. He felt so interwined with you and he knew that you had felt the same way. If it weren't for that incessant pest that you called your boyfriend keeping you from being in his arms.
"Hey, you're mine. You know, that right?" Your boyfriend would say interjecting the conversation Kuroh would be having with you. His slimy arms slithered around you like a snake as he kissed you. And he made sure it was always around him.
Even going as far as giving your ass a small squeeze to which you would swat your hand at him immediately getting embarrassed that he would do something so sleazy in front of Kuroh.
But Kuroh knew that it was just a game. You were a pawn. Disposable. Expendable.
Kuroh knew his real intentions, but he had no idea how to tell you without you coming right to his rescue. Explaining to him how he was a good man and a greater boyfriend. He had to mentally note not roll his eyes out of his head.
『 Yeah, it's like ecstasy
When you're next to me
Think that you should leave him
And stay with mе 』
On days when he could see you without that jerk being around, he would invite you over to cook for you while Neko and Shiro were away running errands.
"Shouldn't you be with your King?"
He would smile as he was serving you steamed rice. "He doesn't always need me around. I am my own person, you know."
A smile would tug a your lips as you would thank him for the food and begin to dig in. Something about being together unfailingly felt right. You had the same interests in culinary arts, you were both into art and art history. You were practically two halves of the same whole.
You would joke that: "We're like two peas in a pod."
To which Kuroh would grin softly to himself as a soft carmine kissed at his cheeks. He would clear his throat immediately.
"You could say that."
To which you would laugh and how your laugh was contagious. It would send him into a fit of mirth hearing your melodious giggles. He would then remember that sleazy man and his laughter would die down as he face became more serious and you would follow.
"I think you should leave him."
『 What about the things you said that he does?
And how every day with him is like some fight club
We had an instant connection when it took you two months
Yeah, we had more fun 』
And when you had told your boyfriend of Kuroh's words, that sent your boyfriend into a spiral. He was raising his voice, and throwing things like you had never seen you before. There would be a lot of times where you would get into quarrels over things Kuroh would say, but this--this was unlike something he had ever done.
It almost felt suspicious the way he was thrashing around and making you feel bad for saying a simple thing. It was times like these that you wished Kuroh was actually there. There to comfort you and not just in a friendly way. You had fun with him. Like actual fun. Even when you were Shiro and Neko, he made it a point to prioritize your happiness.
Shiro had considered them friends rather than subordinate and King, still it was a little odd to see that he was putting you first in everything. Serving you the first bowl, the first cup of tea, making sure to ask if your food was fine and how he could accomodate to your needs. Hell, he would even ask what you wanted to eat the day before and would wake up extra earlier to make it fresh.
Which is something Kuroh had been lacking on. Usually he would make Shiro and Neko's lunch the night before and store it in the fridge, but with you he went the extra step.
"Are you seriously accusing me of cheating?" Pulling you out of your stupor.
Realization hit you like a shit ton of bricks. You crossed your arms and raised a brow at him.
"I never said you did."
『 You seem lonely and it's so damn cruel
'Cause you're so back and forth like you're striking a chord
And then leading me on when you know that it's wrong
In denial, everybody sees it but you 』
It was disheartening as hell to see you all by yourself, looking over at the ocean as you hugged your knees to your chest. For days you would do this since you had finally broken up with your boyfriend and even worse that Valentine's Day was right about the corner. Kuroh could only watch you from afar, too afraid to say anything that might strike a nerve. He wanted to get closer to you not push you further away.
It felt like you were leading him on and Shiro and Neko would take notice of your relationship. Shiro would especially hate that his friend's heart was aching for another woman who was struggling with her own turmoil, but alas what could he do?
"I got just the thing. Neko, I'll need your help." Shiro would bounce his fist to his palm as the idea had struck.
She would blink at him several times before her lips erupted into a grin. "Anything for Shiro!"
And that's when the duo got to work. They had been planning on how you two would get together over the span of two months. While you had been healing from your broken heart, the pair had been schemeing from behind the scenes.
"What are you two up to?" Kuroh would narrow his eyes at them as Shiro and Neko would act inconspicuous, but he could read them like an open book.
He merely chose to ignore them and the way they would whisper to one another and then look at him and that back at one another before they started again. Kuroh would simply sigh and keep eating away at his meal until he their murmurs seemed to get louder and more obnoxious.
Clank!
Shiro and Neko's eyes broadened at Kuroh who had slammed his bowl on the coffee table before getting up and grabbing his jacket.
"W-where are you going Kuroh-kun?" Shiro would ask as he followed behind him.
"Out." He replied as he put on his shoes and unlocked the door finally leaving the two of them behind.
They both gave each other the same devilish grins as they rubbed their hands together to commence their Operation: Valentine's Day.
Yes not very original, but they didn't have time to exactly come up with anything fresher than that ass they were on a time limit.
Today had been Valentine's Day and while they didn't really celebrate it as much, they wanted something good to come out of it for the both of you lonely and unfortunate souls.
As Kuroh had made his way to the ocean he noticed that someone else was there and he could recognized your form from anywhere. He felt for his pocket for a moment. Did he really want to do this now? He shook his head gazing at how your hair shifted in the breeze. The water sparkled beautifully, but it paled in comparison to you. You who was ethereal in every conceivable way.
He gulped as he started making his way towards you and you felt a presence come up from behind you.
"Hi, Kuroh."
He blinked several times before answering. "How did you know it was me?"
You gazed up at him with twinkling [e/c] hues and smiled gloriously at him. Oh, how divine you were.
"I know the sound of your footsteps."
He felt the wind sweep across the both of you and suddenly the world around you changed. Literally.
Sakura blossoms began to appear out of nowhere as the petal danced around the both of you. Your eyes broadened as you took a gander of the new existence you were living in. When had all the cherry blossoms appeared? You didn't know anymore, but when you peered back at Kuroh he was already on one knee with the most beautiful rose gold ring you had possibly laid eyes on. Your face warming as your lip quivered.
"[name], I've come to learn that I have fallen deeply in love with you and I cannot bear to have you not by side any longer. Please accept this as a token of my love and admiration for you, until I can replace it with something even more permanent.
Your hands crossed against your chest as you felt your throat close up. You couldn't believe that Kuroh was hiding his feelings for you. Suddenly all the moments that you spent together, the way he grimaced at your sleazy ex boyfriend and all the sweet gestures he made towards you. It all made sense.
"I--I don't know how I could possibly say no." You finally replied.
"So that's a yes?" His cheeks were tinted vermillion as he gazed up at you, holdind you hand.
You nodded and smiled. "Yes!"
He slipped the ring onto your finger. "It's a promise ring."
You twirled it around watching how it caught in the sunlight. "It's beautiful. Where's yours?"
He held it between his fingers and gently took it from him and raised his porcelain hand as you slid it into his slim digit. he interwined your fingers together and his free hand now caressing your face. A rare smile on his visage as he peered down at you. The light filtering on to your face made you even more angelic. But before he could say a thing, the sakura blossoms disappeared and the ocean was in full view again.
"Neko!" You heard Shiro's voice, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Kuroh sighed as he turned right to the stop that those two idiots were in, spying on the both of you. "We already heard you."
You giggled as you watched Neko fall on her ass from one of the trees and Shiro soon followed helping her up as she cried.
"I'm sorry. I let it happen for a moment because it gave me a boost of confidence and it was a nice change in scenery. Perfect, really."
"Mhm. Mhm." You nodded in agreement. "Very nice scenery."
He chuckled at you before pressing his lips to yours. Your eyes broadened at his sudden contact, but he could no longer hold back. He finally kissed you after all these months that he's bottled his feelings for you. You eyes slowly closing as you heard Shiro and Neko cheered in the back and the both of you smiled mid kiss. He wanted to scold them for how irritating they were being, but he could care less knowing that you were now his.
"Shiro and Neko got Kuroh and [name] together!" Neko exclaimed as she locked arms with Shiro.
"You owe us a freshly made lunch Kuroh!" Shiro undid his umbrella as he and Neko began to float.
It was always such a spectacular sight watching Shiro defy physics.
You both waved at them before returning back to one another a smirk playing on your lips as you raised your brow at him.
"Planning to marry me, eh?"
Kuroh face flushed red as he rubbed the back of neck. "I--I mean, call it a courtship. If you will."
Your arms encased his body and pulled him flush against yours. You had never seen him so flustered before.
"Well, I accept. You're not slipping away from me." You leaned your face closer to his and captured his lips again.
He welcomed you with a warm embrace and many kisses in return. He could tell you all about the future he envisioned with you later.
