Feedback Request: Can I make it a reader insert if I provide a gender neutral name that’s purpose is plot linked but only used like once?
Context: There’s a Pope WIP, from Triple Frontier, and the call-name for the female lead is Birdie, because her name is Robin. But other than that I could reader-insert her, she could be totally anonymous.
Thoughts?
😭😭😭 oh my...
I don't know how some people read reader inserts and then say it takes them out of it when the MC's name and appearance are left to their imagination. That's the point. 😭
Do you ever read something fluffy and you are like “awwwww I would love that” but in reality you are like I would not like that.
For example, I love the idea of falling asleep in someone’s arms and just cuddling the night away, but in reality I’m like no don’t touch me while I’m sleeping.
How are you gonna make a fic with a race neutral reader insert, a skin color neutral reader insert, and then add “beautiful pale skin”. If you’re writing for a white reader or any other color, please precise it, like that I’m not wasting my time reading a y/n story that’s not actually reader insert.
Just...don’t mention skin colour. It is not hard.
