Inktober Nro. 13
I am currently working on a small comic project, and yesterday I suddenly wanted to draw a little comic for Inktober, too. Nothing big, as you can see. I used the guy from day 8 again. It was too late already when I realized that I had drawn it in a Japanese reading direction without thinking... hence the arrows ;)
On the one hand, it makes me sad when a manga (translated into English) doesn't have the "STOP! You're going the wrong way!" warning page at the back (English front) of the books. The pages can be cute, and they are nice reminders of when I first started reading manga. On the other hand, I appreciate it when publishers trust the reader enough to sort out the reading direction itself.
It goes both ways…kinda like reading directions for comics!
I had a thought, does the direction you read impact which shoe you would put on first?

Why is the sentence special? A hint: try to read it from LEFT to right.
I love this blog and I'm very excited to start learning! One thought I had: with the way Trollak is written and read, would books be read in a Western style or a Japanese style (starting from "back" to "front")? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Books and other printed media would be arranged in the Japanese style, back to front for us westerners.
The constant struggle of trying to figure out if I'm supposed to be reading from left to right, or right to left when I find doujinshi and other fanart/comics on Tumblr. Because you'd assume it's right to left but sometimes it's not and worse, sometimes it sort of makes sense reading in both directions and then I'm really confused.
I've gotten so used to reading Right to Left ,thanks to years of reading Manga.
