Big Finals Week Update

Finals week was. Insane. I wrote 66 pages in 6 days. I feel proud of my work. I received a comment on my history paper which said that my writing was well organized. I have OFTEN gotten comments which have said that my writing is disorganized, so this feels like amazing growth.

I found out a few things this week. One is that a day-schedule really helps, and that I need to motivate myself to work on that. Two is that it’s okay to take social breaks sometimes—they motivate me. Three is that if I have to, I can work in four-hour+ blocks.

I’m a stronger student than I used to be. That’s amazing.

8/14/26

Studied two hours. Finished Leviathan out by writing about it in my notes—it’s a good practice. I also worked to set up my Canvas course for the upcoming semester. I feel nervous.

Dog chewed my copy of Leviathan and I have to replace it. She’s never eaten a book before and I left it on the couch for twenty minutes…

Wow! I can’t believe it’s almost August.

I feel odd. Melancholic. A bit lonely.

Studied two hours today—met my goal. Read Tamburlaine and sent an important email. I’m really enjoying Tamburlaine thus far. I’m also finding that the app Focus Friend is helpful to me—at least somewhat. I’m worried I’ll get to a point where the points required to buy furniture are simply too much, and then I’ll have to pay for premium OR give up a helpful app.

🎶: expectations - Olivia Rodrigo

🍽️: made the best matcha I’ve ever made today. Took getting a matcha whisk and slightly higher quality matcha powder (other stuff was…terrible). Still, I’m convinced it’ll pay off, given how much I love matcha.

📚: Social Animals by Camille Perri. I really like it so far

Holy fuck, I studied 4 hrs and 45 mins. Wow. Four hours spent reading my book review book, 45 mins spent reading a book on gender.

I also went to a café today and sat outside in the beautiful spring weather. I wrote a poem. Life is good.

Studied thirty minutes today 😫 I was so fucking exhausted and could barely function…after the gym.

It would be awesome if people would stop being misogynistic toward me <3
