Ready Never is a Los Angeles based duo fusing together EDM, alternative rock and electro-pop with catchy pop hooks and style. Their album Eleutherophobia (Jan. 6th 2014) is chock full of dance anthems with strong dance beats and cultural critique; their single "Take That Pill" is a tongue-in-cheek response to a society that pops pharmaceuticals with little precaution.
It's interesting that the title of their album is defined as "the fear of freedom," when their sound is utilizing the very freedom that the world of electronic production has created for musicians. Frontman Benny Ed plays the bass, key synth, foot synth and simultaneously DJ's, while Clinton Karcher plays drums, together fusing the physical world of rock and EDM with the same seamlessness that they use in their own music. Sean Mahaffey produces as the band's in-house remix producer as well as collaborator and co-founder Rudi Meibergen who assists with song writing and production.
"We always wanted to be able to perform the music, not just play it back; which is what makes our live sound quite different from our studio sound," says Ed, whose ambition is not to be scoffed at. This band has the talent and the sound, it's all but a matter of time before they really hit the ground running.
