Last Friday I had to give a class. It was to 15-16 year old, about Mendelian genetics. With one group of girls, we were discussing the cromosomal definition of gender, and I don't know what someone said something about hermaphrodites. I told them that it was a derogatory term, and they should use intersex. That was really something new for them, and we talked a bit about gender and its social construct. And this is why teaching is great, because you get the opportunity to do things like this. I want to be done with my PhD so I can dedicate myself 100$ to teaching Highschool. Yes, I' gonna have a PhD in biochemistry and I want to teach in Highschool. Honestly, it's even harder.
