If you want to compare yourself to others on social media who have a ‘better body’ than you then you need to take into consideration a few things first. 1. Their age vs your age. Self explanatory. You can’t change that! . 2. How long have they been on their ‘health journey’. Are you comparing your beginning to their middle? Are their health habits ingrained whilst you’re still learning yours? . 3. Family and social life: perhaps they don’t have the responsibilities you have OR they have sacrificed their social life to MAINTAIN the (often) unrealistic perfect body. . 4. Their job vs yours: This isn’t meant to be negative. But if they’re a fitness professional or model it’s their JOB to be ‘perfect’ so their life revolves around that. You can’t excel in your career/business AND have the perfect body (but you CAN still have a GREAT body!). . 5. Their mental health: That’s something that you can never tell. The pressures of ‘looking perfect’ aren’t without their consequences. I do believe in the importance of working hard to get a healthy body and with that comes a ‘good looking’ body too. But the ‘perfect’ body isn’t achievable by most without some effect on your mental state. . Just a few things to think about when social is getting you down rather than motivating you ;0) . #reallifelean #nutrientdensity #eatrealfood #getlean #fitbodydoc #doctorhud https://www.instagram.com/p/BtsqbZSASPj/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=rn0fr9fi94cj
