I had a dream I was sleeping and when I woke up a creature was studying rings on my hand. I told him that the rings were special to me, that he shouldn’t look and that he should go away. He smiled at me and said, “Yes. But there’s a phrase to make me go away, isn’t there? And you don’t know it.”
I panicked and ran away, but when I went out the door I wasnt in my apartment anymore but in an art museum. I asked someone who looked familiar what was happening and he said, “Well don’t you know the phrase?” And when I told him I couldn’t remember, he only shook his head at me. I saw that I was being followed by the creature so I ran again.
When I went into the next room, it wasn’t a museum anymore, but my mom’s old room. I was a child again. She was laying in bed and I woke her up and she sleepily said, “I can’t tell you what the words are aloud, because then he’ll know.” And suddenly the room was swallowed in shadow and I began to cry. Then the pressure in the room built and it became hard to breathe, and a loud, dark voice said, “HE IS HERE.”
And then I woke up :)

Have y’all heard the word of Bibo?
TL: DR Bibo is an obscure found item sold by a small company known as Archie Mcphee (Accoutrement)
He’s a very funny character and the whimsical weirdness this company brings to an otherwise bleak consumer culture gives me hope for every weird artist out there following their bliss.
As a joke when tumblr flagged a Bibo inktober I did in 2017, I threatened to draw Bibo in a different style for 12 days. This exercise got me out of a creative and existential funk I was in. Yes, consumer culture is kinda gross on many levels, but there is still whimsy and fun out there. Be the change you want to see in the world! Draw weird shit that isn’t a broad-appeal Disney mash up, for fuck’s sake!!!

super quick doodles I have on my laptop you might like for the time being, apologies for the inactivity!
Feeling tempted to go the extra mile in some research, and find a way to contact a certain expert for a study I enjoyed from her. I want to ask some questions for clarity and insight from her field and experience.
Just uh, gotta write down a list of questions first for a proper interview. If I can’t reach her, then I wonder if anyone on her team could help.
I’m on a mission for a thing I’m writing, which I didn’t expect to go this deep. But, I want to go deep in it since it’s a touchy topic that I’m noticing way too much misrepresentation among other articles and studies in my trail of research.
