They are very small beasties, even now. I’m always agog when I go to other peoples’ homes and meet their cats, who are totally average-sized cats but LOOK enormous because I’m so visually calibrated to my two minikitties.

ok so i know a lot of people have said that ball pythons arent the /best/ starter snake, but are they a /bad/ starter snake ? esp if i do years of research before getting one (for context, im abt to be a freshman in college and wont have an accommodating living space for another 2-3 years, and i've been closely following reptiblr for almost a year now) and have prior experience handling herps (i volunteer at a local rescue and sometimes we get herps bc ppl dont know where else to bring em lmao)

I honestly don’t think they’re that bad of a first-time snake, to be honest. Just so long as you know what to expect going into it and you’re able to keep your temperature and humidity stable. I’d definitely consider a tub over a tank (just because it’s easier to keep things appropriately humid), but if you love ball pythons and you’re willing to put in the work, then go for it.

what program did you use to make the bandom flowchart ? its wonderful but i've been inspired to make a hellishly large one that is absolutely useless for actually understanding but includes as many "bandom" bands as i can possibly fit

freddie, the phrase "idk i thought it was chill" in reference to waterboarding just made me giggle for like two minutes thank u for this gift

It was obviously uncomfortable and I complained the entire time but it wasn’t as scary as I thought it’d be! It also helped that it was my friend who was doing it so like...I knew that nothing else was going to happen to me. In an actual torture scenario I could see how it’d be terrifying but context is everything.
