Musa and Riven, 1 or 47 cause who else would I ask about.
“No one needs to know.”
Musa stares out the window. The Magix skyline is beautiful at night; pale yellow and neon making the sky look more grey than black. It washes out the stars, but the closer planets like Eraklyon are still visible, washed golden in the light.
“Does that include the rest of the girls?”
She turns over in bed to look at the figure next to her. “I get the feeling they wouldn’t approve, exactly.”
Riven laughs. It’s more resigned than happy. “Yeah well, they can get in line behind Sky and the rest of them. Brandon might be out in front though.”
Out of all the Specialists, Brandon is the one she’s closest to - has been since they all met. Stella’s jokingly referred to them as siblings before, a joke that’s gone on so long Musa’s accidentally introduced Brandon as her older brother on occasion.
“Yeah,” she finally says. “He might tell me off first though.”
“He might.”
“Riven I -” Musa starts, and stops just as abruptly.
His eyes, which had been staring up at the ceiling, turn towards her. “Yeah?”
She tries to figure out how to put her feelings into words. But even with years of practice, she finds it isn’t good enough. Instead she bunches the sheets in her hand, and lifts them to cover her chest. “I...I don’t know how to stop doing this.”
Riven blinks, then turns to look at the ceiling again. “Neither do I.”
I don’t know why I’m surprised you did ask for it.
Send me a number and a pairing and I’ll write a drabble!
