The aftermath of Scarif was a flurry of different emotions from everyone. Torin had been a part of the pilots that made it back from the surface once the shield gate had been deactivated - but that left a mark still. He’d lost some close friends and even if he was never one to dwell too much on things like that, it had been a big blow this time. But no matter what he was feeling, Torin knew that Cassian and the others were dealing with much more than he was. Torin knew Cassian a little, but not too much, still, the reason why any of them had any kind of hope now was because of Jyn, Cassian and the others. With that thought in mind, Torin headed through to the med bay, moving over to where Cassian was lay in one of the beds, recovering from his injuries. One of the medics cast him a warning look as he got to the bed and he held up his hands, “I’m not gonna yell or whoop or anything....” He rolled his eyes and then finally made it to Cassian’s bedside. “....no idea why all these people are fussing over you, it’s not like you probably saved the galaxy or anything...” He grinned and tilted his head to the side, “How’re you holding up?”
“ cassian andor? ” she questions as she steps into the room, offering him a sweet smile as eyes look down to the tablet in her hand. it had all of his information as well as the scans for his leg after his injury back on scarif. joanna had been assigned as his attending nurse, since she had volunteered to be so as well. no one wanted to treat the stubborn captain but she was not about to let him intimidate her. “ my name is joanna mccoy, i’ll be your attending while you’re recovering. ”

Jyn's head was swimming the dull throbbing pain behind her eyes continuing to blur, her already blurred vision only growing worse as time wore on. She remembered Scarif; the light had been blinding but some how serenely beautiful, she had felt the heat on her skin. But that's all she could remember, not what had come next and the woman had zero recollection of arriving at her currently location. Where ever that was anyway. A thick fog blanketed everything in her field of view and as her vision slowly came into focus she realized just how little that was helping her. In the most literal sense she could not see her hand in front of her face; any thing could be lurking in teh fog and she would be none the wiser.
Blindly the young woman pushed forward, slowly making her way along the broken path hand stretched out in front of her as a safety precaution. Of sorts anyway be it friend, foe or inanimate at least she would know what lay waiting in front of her. ❝Where am I? . . . Where is everyone?❞ She questioned hesitatingly into the fog pausing for a moment as if someone would offer her a response. She strongly hoped that wouldn't happen. Jyn found herself wondering if anyone had survived the blast, hoping against the already low odds that they had. 'Surely someone must have. How else would I have gotten here? Where ever here is?' She posed the question to her sanity as she continued on pace slowing as tall shadows loomed ahead. The further she advanced the more the growing confusion took over her psyche. Before her rested a the shell of civilization. Empty battered buildings and abandoned means of transportation; no signs of life in sight void of even the most basic flora. ❝Kriff. . .What. . .?❞ She found herself mumbling under her breath as she advanced. It was eerie to say the very least, unsettling to put it lightly.
Ash began to fall from the invisible sky above sprinkling the surface like fresh snow; Jyn looked around bewildered green orbs scanning everything they came across. In all her years she had never encountered one planet that was anything like it. She was so lost in herself the brushing sound in the distance didn't phase her; most unusual. It was only when the sound grew nearer and involved into a light shrieking sort of sound like a rusty hinge did she turn. She saw it off in the distance a distinct shadow lumbering nearer, Jyn's first thought was an injured comrade and she moved closer only to discover the horrific error. Looking at the creature before her she couldn't tell where the Rebel uniform ended and the flesh began. It had all become fused together in some fluid motion; one constant fabric. Her stomach turned the contents flipping around inside as she looked on.
Green eyes bound to the figure in the fog as it came ever closer; for some reason she could not tear herself away from it. Her heart was hammering in her chest but her glued feet were preventing her fight or flight instincts. And while normally the former was more of her go to in conflict she found herself with no weapon and noting in the immediate vicinity to substitute. The woman could hear the blood hammering in her ears as she began considering her options. But all sound stopped as the monstrosity released a blood curdling shriek. Jyn could swear she heard her name on it's lips. That was enough to jolt her out of her trace with less than two yards between them she spun on her heels quickly bolting. She could hear the creature behind her and what was probably more of the same as she flew down a narrow alley way. Taking several of the turns to lead her into the labyrinth of buildings. ❝Ah, noo!❞ The brunette proclaimed as she met with a brick wall. A dead end exactly what she didn't need. Eyes darting over around the path she had just walked she spotted a cracked window. 'There.' She thought to herself as she advanced a certain level of calm washing over her. A feeling that was just as quickly replaced by annoyance when as she tried to pry the window open. No success. Jyn drew in a breath holding it for a brief moment as she hoped the future sound wouldn't give her location away, she just needed enough time to slip out of site.
Clenching her fist she extended her arm before bringing it back; her elbow roughly colliding with the glass the crack giving way as it all shattered. Pain coursed over her arm from the collision, but she didn't waste a moment. Heaving herself up using the window frame as support she shoved though the remaining glass fragments biting her hands at her weight. Jyn landed roughly on the interior floor instantly scanning her surroundings. Cautiously the woman pushed forward taking quick note of the rooms bare decor. Eyes lighting on a cabinet, shoving all her weight against it Jyn blocked off the window she had destroyed upon entry. Heaving an heavy sigh as she slid down into the floor leaning against it. But the rest was short lived as she heard a sound just outside of the door opposite her. She wasn’t alone.
Her eyes darted over the file before her. It wasn’t the man’s sitting across from her, no. It was of his brother’s. The boy had the unfortunate luck to be an Obscurial, which had resulted in his death. ❝ Cassian Andor ❞ Rose started, letting the file flip closed, hiding the boy’s smiling face from her view. ❝ You’ve been causing quite a stir, not one for liking the rules, are you? ❞ Not that she necessarily disagreed, the whole thing with no-maj’s and children having to die simply because of something that they were cursed with. Though she was an auror, a woman who had to uphold the laws, so regardless of her own views she had to do as she was ordered.

Few knew he was a Jedi.
In the eyes of most, Chirrut Imwe was a devout Guardian of the Whills, and had been ever since infancy. He was a perfectly normal blind man, albeit with better senses than most, born and raised entirely on Jedha.
Well, one of those things was true. He was definitely blind with better senses.
But he was no proper Guardian. No, although they had accepted him into their remaining ranks in order to help him hide, it was not who he was. The lightsaber at his side, tucked under the folds of his robes and out of sight were attest to that.
But he knew others wondered.

The moon hung high in the sky and it gave an eerie shadow to the skyline of the city. Torin could flames licking up at different locations in the downtown area of the city. It was a mess. There was a new threat to the city he took so much pride of being a part of and he knew that if he and others like him didn’t come together, putting differences they may have have with each other. The scale of dangr and destruction was spreading and now it wasn’t just confined to his city, it was neighbouring cities as well. It needed all of them to fight all of what was happening. it was their responsibility after all. If they had decided to put masks on and defend thir cities then they owed the people of them not to give up and keep fighting. It hadn’t been by chance that he had donned his masked, Torin had watched his parentd get murdered right in front of his eyes, all at the hands of Krennic, the crime boss of the city and his group called ‘The Empire”. As he waited, he focused his attention on the rest of the rooftops, knowing that his acquaintances would use them to get to their meeting. It was much safer. A lot of Krennic’s men were keeping watch of the main points of entry and reference around the city. He wondered how the world had decided that crime and violence was above living well and loving thy neighbour. Torin had had questionable times in his past where his more volitile side of him had won but that was behind him. His parent’s deaths made him want to channel all of that into something else, like getting his revenge those who had taken everything away from him. He hadn’t been the first vigilante in this city and he knew he wouldn’t be the last but he’d fight until he couldn’t anymore. He also wasn’t the most experienced out of everyone who did the same as he did but he had his own unique set of skills and powers that came in handy, just like the others. A movement to his right caused him to turn and face that direction. He spotted two figures, tensing just in case it was some of Krennic’s cronies but as the figures got closer, he relaxed, just a little. Torin had to keep his guard up, they all were the same so he knew no one would feel any offence. He nodded his head as they stopped to his side and then several more people turned up. Folding his arms, Torin faced them all and pursed his lips under the mask that covered his face. “You know why we’re all here so i shouldn’t need to explain it.” His voice was grave as he addressed them, his voice changer working just like it always had. “We need to bring Krennic and his empire down and we might not win but we still have to try.” There was no point in trying to sugar coat it. “Does anyone have any suggestions of how we go about this? We all have to work together...”
