Normally, people were skittish when they spoke to him -- a delightful side affect of the energy he exuded -- but this man not only perked up when he saw Erebus but had the nerve to smirk at him. Yes. Now there was no maybe; he would be taking the male home. 

The god stepped closer to the barred door, hand reaching up to grab one of the bars as he grinned back at him. “I know I can outbid anyone here.” Arrogant, sure but it was the truth. It was one of the many perks to living for as long as Erebus has, he had an immeasurable amount of wealth to burn through. “--and I like what I see. So you get the privilege of coming home with me tonight.”

A Safe Haven And Its Promises // Clexa

“Heda?”, one of her guards called out to her, gaining her attention from where she peacefully rested in her tent, shaded from the glaring sun. “An unrecognizable group has been spotted headed in our direction. Orders?” Lexa hummed quietly. It has been some time since they had a whole group come across their settlement. Groups were unpredictable, though. Lexa would have to practice caution if confronted by them. All it would take is one member attempting to stir things up and putting a halt to whatever trust she may have been willing to build. 

“Weapons?”, Lexa questioned, taking one last sip of her water before standing up from her chair. “Pitiful in comparison,” her guard quipped with a low chuckle. Lexa allowed the corner of her lips to lift briefly before falling into the role of Commander. “If they choose to approach, then let them. We’ll hear them out if that’s what they wish. As always, be on the ready to take them out if they foolish decide to be a threat to our people and our home.” Leaving the tent and her guard to spread the message, Lexa strolled back out into the heat, deciding to wait near the front fortified entrance and see what the approaching group planned to do. Her days have been uneventful recently, and she was intrigued by the new developments.

“I’m so sick of Algae.” Everyone was. This wasn’t news but she felt the need to voice an excuse a reason for her mood. It was natural to feel lonely when everyone’s coupled up in the tin can they called home. It was nothing more than loneliness, Raven reminded herself as she poked at the algae. The few bites she’d taken were weighing heavy in her stomach, coincidentally that was around the time she glanced over at Emori and Murphy. 

Vulnerability between two broken people was bound to end in disaster. There were never any promises made, she tried to remind herself as she forced another spoonful into her mouth. It didn’t help that, on top of loneliness, she felt guilty. Emori was her protege and they were starting to really develop a friendship. The first rule of girl code is don’t fuck your friend’s ex. Fucking them multiple times while they were on a break was a complete violation of that rule. Technically speaking, she was friends with Murphy first, but still. 

“It’s just for a while until you get us back to the ground.” Emori nudged her side and sent her a sympathetic smile. 

“Yeah.” Raven offered back a faint, obligatory smile back at the woman before casting her eyes down towards her bowl and poked the sludge with her spoon.

He didn’t sleep much, the nightmares that plagued him kept him from doing as much.  He was used to it by now though, the not sleeping bit, it was easier, then waking up in a cold sweat screaming their names.  Which was what found him out here, on his own on the cold damp night. He didn’t really mind the cold, it cleared his head after binge drinking, or destroying his liver as Mikah always told him, he didn’t care he hoped one day he’d just keel over and end this shitty existence.  He kicked a rock listening to it rattle across the wood of the dock before pitching off into silence before breaking it again with a pitiful splash.   He gazed out towards the lighthouse, watching the beacon spin quietly, digging into his jacket he undid his tie as he pulled a flask free and took a swig once the cap was free, grimacing at the burn of cheap whiskey. He kicked another rock watching as it followed its mate into the sea.   “Happy Birthday!”  He saluted the sky before taking another swig grimacing darkly.  “Another one without you, lucky me,”  He closed his eyes and let out a long pained breath, he had picked here cause he was certain he’d be alone, and Mikah wouldn’t follow him out here, just let him...celebrate and mourn in his own stupid way.

                        murphy sat at the table with clarkes parents , glancing at her , noticing how she got nervous and he quickly moved his hand under the table on her knee and gave it a soft squeeze. he wanted to assure her , that he was there, that he wouldn’t leave her.

Like an idiot, he hadn’t fed as often as he should, just telling himself that everything was going to be okay. It was easy to get distracted enough to not eat when he needed to, but it had come to a head.

Blood splattered up his face, as if he had an artery and it simply exploded, which was basically what happened. Hands were bloody as well, and now Eddie was trying to figure out what to do with the body. It had been awhile since he had killed someone, but it was like natural instinct for him now. Which was definitely strange to think about when it came to Eddie Kaspbrak.

His senses seemed to have pinged, almost like Peter Parker, and he looked up to see Murphy down the end of the alley. He was very much aware of the fact that Murphy liked the whole vampire thing, but seeing him covered in blood wasn’t something that entirely sat well with Eddie.

“You should be at home,” he said, making sure he was just loud enough for his boyfriend to hear.

Bellamy had been zoning out for a little while now, eyes dark as his thoughts wandered to the sinful things they’d all had to do since they got down here. They all kept justifying everything by thinking of it as US OR THEM, but when everything was said & done there remained a huge weight on Bellamy’s shoulders. He couldn’t get their faces out of his mind. He was so lost in thought that it took him a while to register the person in front of him, but when he did, he attempted a smile. ‘ Hey. Sorry, got lost in my thoughts. Is everything okay? ’

tony stood over clarke, arms crossed against his chest. he wanted to say ‘ i told you so ’ but that would be plain cruel, which in a way made it all the more tempting.  he couldn’t do that though, instead his arms quickly unfolded and he lent himself down so he was eye level with clarke.  

“ sorrry, couldn’t help myself. you alright? i can get you some ice? is anything hurting? ”
