Boo and Jamie
I’m gonna put these two together in one post bc their story and lore are 90% intertwined together.
Crowe Apollo Ojeda was born Oct 31, 1966. In Pasadena, CA.
James Levon Kanzas was born Dec 6, 1965. In Summertown, TN.
Crowe grew up in an awful home. His mother died when he was 3 in a tragic car accident, so his father was left to raise him. His father barely even spoke to him, and dived into drugs and alcohol with the carousel of women he’d been with. Crowe basically raised himself. When he was 7, his younger brother Michael was born. Crowe was then left to raise his younger brother as well.
Michael and Crowe were super tight, and gave eachother the nicknames of Boo(Crowe) and Blitz(Michael). When Boo was 14, he gave up his schooling so they’d have the extra money to pay for Blitz’ schooling. Boo really expected his life to go now where, so he spent any other free time out with “friends” partying, doing drugs, all that shit.
When Boo was 16, he was walking the streets with pocket change from the last job he was fired from. Music was his escape from his life, so he obsessed over it. He stopped in a music store to get a new cassette, and met a tall blond guy who introduced himself as Jamie. The two chatted, and Boo left.
Few days later, Boo found Jamie at a metal show at a small venue in LA that he’d snuck into. His friends were giggling and told Boo to go prank the guy, since he looked so out of place. But when Boo approached, the two actually had good conversation. Boo gave Jamie his landline number, and they called later.
Jamie was raised with a great family in Tennessee. He lived on a farm, helped his mother around the house and helped his father take care of the animals. When he was 16, he moved out to Los Angeles to live his grandparents and pursue music as a passion.
The two kept calling, kept meeting up throughout summer, became great friends. Jamie taught Boo guitar and they eventually in like 1984 started a thrash metal band called Recently Deceased, Boo was the singer and Jamie was the lead guitarist. (The rhythm guitarist ends up leaving so Boo takes that position aswell). Boo moved in with Jamie at 17 to escape his father, and still tried to help Blitz as best as he could.
The underlying problem is that Boo and Jamie are close, real close. When they were 17, Jamie cheated on his at the time girlfriend with Boo. They went on to have a secret relationship together.
The years pass, RD gets rather big in popularity. The issue though, Boo was already into drugs, and the rockstar life was very enthusiastic about addiction.
When Boo was 27, his brother died of an overdose at like 19. Boo spiraled and attempted to khs. He was brought to a hospital just in time to save him. The band was put on pause for a while and Jamie helped Boo to get clean. Not the best time. Boo was eventually diagnosed with bipolar disorder and it all made sense lmao.
Half a year later, the media found out and started rumoring about their secret relationship. Boo snapped again and signed himself out of the band without anybody but the managers knowing for Jamie’s safety. Boo came out publicly, and got Jamie’s name out of the press. Jamie overtook the vocalist position.
Boo disappeared for five years, Jamie couldn’t even find him.
In those five years, Boo got himself a girlfriend(still doesn’t accept that he’s gay), got clean, and moved to San Francisco. Boo’s friend Auggie approached him about a music project and Boo joined. It was supposed to be a feel-good small project that turned into a genuine band called Social Outcast Society. Boo was the guitarist, Auggie was the bassist and singer, and Boo’s girlfriend Peix was the drummer. While on tour, Jamie showed up backstage. It was awkward, but Boo and Jamie were happy to be talking again.
SOS toured with Metallica on their Poor Re-Touring Me tour, and Jamie acted as a manager while RD was on a bit of a hiatus. Guess whaaat. Boo and Jamie get close again, do a couple things they regret.
Boo ends up admitting to Peix that he’s gay, and they end on a rather positive note. SOS takes a pause and RD does a reunion tour a couple years later.
Boo and Jamie attempt a true relationship yet again, but after a couple years they mutually agree they suck at making it work lmaao.
By their 50s Jamie settles down with a very sweet woman, has a kid, and Boo is the gay uncle lmfao. Boo grows into his identity a bit and begins to finally feel comfortable in life. (Jamie’s wife knows abt their history, so she doesn’t question why they act like an old married couple)
RD goes on for a while. Boo had noticed tremors for a bit now, but At 66 Boo finally gets diagnosed with parkinsons. Jamie is the one to take care of him the most during all of this. RD does a farewell show too.
At 70, Boo dies in his sleep from an unrelated mysterious cause. Jamie grieves hard, but a little black crow starts to show up at his house. He turns his grief towards taking care of the bird and leaving food and trinkets out for it.
Jamie lives on another 20sumthing years.
