Me Not You was a pretty mysterious challenger in 2018. There isn't much info about them on the internet and I honestly don't even remember how I first stumbled upon them (Spotify's Discover Weekly, perhaps?) but I'm very glad that I did. Their sound is everything I miss about '90s goth alt-rock with a touch of trip hop wrapped up together in a nice little package. We've got some dark, alarm-like, electronic swooshes paired with grungy guitars while Nikki Taylor compares diving into someone's mind to navigating a stormy, aquatic landscape.
Best Moment: Every time Nikki's voice bursts into the night and then echoes itself as a whisper for "I think I want / I want you to come on / And take me down to the shore" at 0:47, 1:43, and 2:36.
