Magical girl who gets her hair from her father.

Like, she has blatant protagonist hair anyway, but people assume because of the length and the volume that she got it from her mother.

Wrong.

Her mother has short pink hair that barely grows beyond a pixie if she tried.

Her father, on the other hand, has calves sharper than rock, a build to match, and the biggest, most luscious mane of red locks this side of the galaxy. It puts drag queens to shame.

He doesn't just give his daughter her hair, he gives her her magical girl form hair.

This is my Precure oc Chiyoko (Cure Signet, princess Chiyoko of the Heart Kingdom) btw. She has mostly red hair in civilian form, which becomes red with gold highlights in her transformation. (See extremely rough depiction below). But she absolutely gets it from her dad. (Chiyoko's parents are the royal family of the Heart Kingdom. Her mother is queen, and dad's just the consort.)

Her dad's hair's so big and noteworthy that the guards all have red plumes on their helmets. His helmet just has a space, and when he puts it on his hair magically gets gathered to become the plume itself.

Chiyoko has a picture of her trying on the same helmet as a kid, and getting a similar, if not quite so impressive effect. She's still wearing the biggest bucktoothed grin though.

What do you mean you thought I wouldn't fall in love with the ojousama-type again? In other words, Ange is back at her bullshit again. Hewwo. ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ I've been noticing that Precure is getting farther and farther from the over-the-top hairdos, like the good ol' Smile Precure times (Cure March? Iconic). But it never haven't been so obvious that they're not even trying anymore - Cure Selene has literally the same hair. Seriously. I still love her so much but that's not the point. So because I had to be true to this installment's roots, I couldn't go crazy with Sakurako's hair. She merely grew her ringlets. I gave her lots of star motifs to rival with Cure Star. It would be easy to give her the same symbols as Cure Selene, but I wanted to convey her sense of "wishing to be a leader". What screams "leader" in this show other than stars, right? ＼(★^∀^★)／ I also like to pretend that she only got this pinkish-red hue in her head to contrast, yet again, with Hikaru. References for her outfit included Sailor Starlights and Sailor Galaxia, a smidge of Love Live's cyber set and Cure Felice's veil.
