#red dwarf asks

Marooned, Terrorform and DNA.

Thank you for the asks! These were great but also quite difficult... I ended up overthinking them but I’ve tried to keep it simple here :)

Marooned- If you had to be stuck on a faraway planet with only one person, who would it be?

After much consideration, I have decided to go with The Doctor (not too fussy about the incarnation- preferably from New Who as I’m more familiar with them). I figure they’d probably be able to help get me off the planet while being intriguing company. I would’ve said Missy but I think I’d probably get murdered, which is not ideal. 

If it was to be someone from Red Dwarf though, my logical instinct is to say Kryten because of how helpful I think that’d be. However, my brain is inexplicably drawn to a complete and utter smeg head called Arnold Judus Rimmer. I do not think this would end well. 

Terrorform- If an environment represented your mental state, how would it look?

I think it would probably be quite nice overall, perhaps it would be a forest of some kind. However, it would have hidden depths that could get rather nasty. This part would more closely resemble the Forbidden Forest at night. The weather would change depending on my mood as would accessibility to nicer/nastier places. 

DNA- If you could be anything except a human, what would you want to be?

Ah so many choices! If we’re talking other animals, I think I’d quite like to live as an elephant. They’re such gentle and intelligent creatures with an incredible memory too. I would also be cool to be some kind of bird to experience flight, preferably a more intelligent bird though.

For the red dwarf asks - rimmerworld/me2, better than life? (from awkward-red-dwarf 🧡)

Me2- If you met yourself, how would you react?

I suppose a lot of this would depend on if this other me was from my past or future. In Me2 I think the second/copy Rimmer was from his past (though not by much).

Either way, I’d probably start quizzing myself to make sure that person was really me. This would include a lot of questions about Harry Potter. Then I think there’d be some reminiscing. I would probably end up annoying my past self by knowing things that happen in the future and giving really vague and irritating hints. Overall though, I don’t think I’d be too shocked by it given the fact I’ve watched Doctor Who and Red Dwarf. As a result, we’d probably end up discussing theories from those two shows as to how we’d managed to meet.

I’d really love to meet some alternate version of me though, I think that would be fascinating to see how one event in my life could change things.

Better than life- If you could suddenly do anything you wanted what would be the first thing you’d do?

It would certainly depend on my mood. I’d say something really noble but in all honesty, that's not what I’d do first. Instead, I’d create a time machine or just steal a TARDIS and go traveling through time and space. Through my travels, I would hope to answer some of my questions about life, the universe and everything really.

Rimmerworld: How would you feel on a planet populated only by yourself?

Probably fine be kind of fun for a little while. It’d be a very idealistic society, I’d probably try and make everything equal. However, I have the feeling it might all end up being a bit of a mess.
