Some Red Thistle brainrot for the bf <3

Adam cannot cook. It's canon, he straight up leaves the cooking to his team or his group when he was with the White Fang, while cooking is one of the few hobbies that Ren is legitimately passionate about. Their cooking would be one of the first things that endears Adam to them.

While they are both people who prefer to keep their true emotions to themselves, their love language is physical proximity. Neither needs the other to tell them they love each other, just being there is enough.

Both would bond over their scars, especially when they start opening up to what their scars mean. Adam's brand is seen as a moment of weakness by him, but especially since it came off the back of his mother's tragic passing, while Ren's scars came right when his own mother died.

On top of that, they're both momma boys. Ren still loves their dad and grieves for him, while Adam never knew Alon and has a tenuous at best relationship with Ghira.

Connected to cooking, but Ren is the type to start growing plants around the dorm for multiple reasons. For their cooking, for decoration and for hobbies like their flower pressing. Adam might be useless with plants, but this is actually something Ren and Blake bond over.

When Ren is upset, they tend to go nonverbal and shies away from any attempt to get them to open up. It actually takes a lot of emotional damage to finally get them to snap. While Adam is clearly the polar opposite.

Both are acutally driven by action, but are also good listeners. Adam will listen to Ren when they have an issue, but if he can't physically do anything to help, he tends to flounder because his trauma love language are acts of service. The other goes for Ren, where their advice is shaped by their life and tendencies to push every uncomfortable emotion away, their advice is actually very helpful.
