A couple firsts for Beth and me! @abstractmatt went to Vietnam and sent us back (a) our first coffee bean grown in Vietnam, (b) our first coffee that was roasted somewhere coffee is grown, (c) our first coffee roasted in the same country it came from and at the same cafe it's sold at, and (d) our first coffee roasted anywhere in Southeast Asia. (Third-wave single-origin keep in mind). And it's excellent! A light roasted red bourbon grown at 1500m in the gorgeous mountainous Dalat region by one Mr. An. Very well roasted, a smooth coffee with minty highlights and a tart nectarine note on the finish. What a treat!
