Good things about 2020

Yes, 2020 was a terrible year, but a few (VERY few) good things happened in it too. In this picture I drew some of the things in 2020 that DIDN'T suck, like: - Cassandra's song: "Waiting in the Wings" winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Original Song in an Animated Series. That, and Tangled the Series ending with Cass redeeming herself; - Marcy Wu on Amphibia Season 2; - Buff Alien Lynn aka Tricksy in the Loud House (I still want to see Lynn getting a little more bulky in real life); - The Willoughbys on Netflix; - The Mandalorian Season 2; - The Sonic Movie (Jim Carrey totally stole the show as Robotnik); - The Owl House (Amity in the top row, and King, Luz and Eda in the middle of the bottom row); - and Onward (which, btw, was the last movie I saw in a theater before all Hell broke loose...) So yes, it's true that 2020 was a real dumpster fire of a year, but a VERY few good things happened in it too.

A random thought about characters.

So, I've seen some people debating about character's flaws and redeeming qualities and how the public "forgives" characters with biggest flaws and wrong-doings, but will dislike characters who have done very little to be considered bad or hated. I think it's important to remember that: the reedeming qualities we look for in a character aren't the same we look for in real people. The flaws we avoid in a character aren't the same we avoid in real people.

For example, if you asked me who would I be more wary of, irl, a merciless killer or an annoying person, of course I'd say the killer. I wouldn't want to be alone with them, possibly wouldn't love the idea of being friends with them. The annoying person could be a pain in my ass, but I wouldn't see them as a real threat.

But in a show, we tend to forgive the killer, to understand their reasons and to hate on the annoying person. Of course, this is entertainment, a murderer could be a very interesting character, while someone who is just plain annoying could make the whole show unbearable. Also, in fiction morality and tastes are even more subjective than in real life. If you have a thing for witty characters, for example, satan himself could have some good lines and you'd love him (quite literally).

What I meant by that is: FOR FUCK'S SAKE, STOP TELLING PEOPLE THEY'RE BAD FOR STANNING A CHARACTER OR FOR HATING A CHARACTER, KAREN.

Aaaaaaaaaaand Bendy should have thought this through. My, that looked like a very proper lady demon looking at him. He tried staying as very still as possible, resisting the urge to sweat ink. Gosh, he was nervous. And an umbrella was on its way to poke him. Please not a ticklish spot.

This little doll had a cute little smile and a simple, dapper design. It even had a cute little dark red cape on. As soon as the umbrella pressed onto the doll’s side, the doll let out a cute squeak that almost oddly sounded like giggling.
