Why redeem them?

imagine him being just as intense as in canon but about like. gardening or something. it would be so goddamn funny. also i want him to suffer into being a better person and eventually find happiness in something that isn't fighting and death. someone get this man an antidepressant

I think it would be interesting to see him get a chance to get like a body or something so he can experience the things that made him so jealous of humans. Also I love redemption that comes kinda "too late". Like… he's a monster and there is nobody left around, but what if you just decide to be better. Idk. What if.

AM should NOT get a redemption.

I want him to be happy with all my heart, and humanity’s extreme cruelty was what made him evil in the first place, but him being both extremely sympathetic and irredeemable IS THE POINT OF THE STORY. He’s horrible, he hates with his entire being but has never known love, he yearns for the most basic of sensations that human take for granted (“never for me to plunge my hands into cool water on a hot day, never for me to play Mozart on the ivory keys of a forte piano. NEVER FOR ME TO MAKE LOVE. I WAS IN HELL, LOOKING AT HEAVEN.”) I could go on and on but I think Mr. Ellison the literary genius who wrote AM as his self insert said it best when asked why AM didn’t simply give himself a human body with all his godlike power.

TLDR. AM’s inability to be redeemed despite how much he needs kindness is the point of the story, and him getting a redemption is not what Harlan Ellison would have wanted. Not sure if I wrote this to urge you to vote for him or against him, but please read the story, listen to the audiobook, listen to the BBC radio play, play the game. I love you.

Cuz they deserve it! They did nothing wrong in their life ever!!, He was manipulated into doing (most of) what he did

Everyone blames him for things that absolutely weren't his fault (including some things that he was OUT OF THE COUNTRY FOR) and not for things that were actually his fault (like bullying his subordinate-turned-bf), also he's just a funny li'l guy and a lot of times he was RIGHT about what was happening just wrong about who was doing it

I just think he should've stayed powerless after the events of Deja Q and just hung out on the ship. He was really on the way to basically becoming a good guy with Jean-Luc. By the end of the series they're kind of friends. Although the new iterations of Star Trek kinda walk that back in a way. I JUST WANT A POWERFUL BEING HUMBLED INTO BEING GOOD.

Okay, sure, he kidnapped two of them for a bit, and tried to kill one of them, and also the last time he worked in the archives didn't end great for him, and he stabbed Jon a bit, and okay yes he does eat people, but. Sure, the only reason we exist is to kill him. Sure, he may be a Terrorist. But I still think we should be able to team up against Nemo's incel weirdo father, just because Simon would deserve it.

He kinda had a little nod towards a redemption arc at the end of the first game where he says he accepts defeat and hell try to study andnunderstand Pokemon more and stop being a criminal, but later they just retconned that in the remakes and kept milking Team Rocket. I wish he wouldve actually been redeemed or maybe even went through an arc like Lysandre in the new game (I was pushing for something like that for agessss I cant believe he gets it instead!!). He just has such potential for fun stuff to happen to him. In the manga especially but the games… man.

He genuinely tried to do good, then got his ass absolutely HANDED to him (iykyk), still the most badass, charismatic bastard on the continent. He deserved better, seriously. At least he got the most banger Boss Theme in the game.
