DBZ OC Headshot: Brinja

Lately I wasn't in the greatest of moods, I decided to finish a sketch of Brinja I made a while ago, hopefully to give me motivation again...

So, Brinja! She's meant to be Bardock and Gine's daughter, after Goku/Kakarot and Turles, in AUs where Gine lives and Planet Vegeta isn't blown up, or it is and the couple managed to avoid death. I was more than flattered when Gurgelz asked me if he could give his OC, Chardive, the same eye shape of Brinja! Chardive is meant to be Bardock's mother in his verses. I loved her and her husband, Bardock Sr, so much I decided to make them Bardock and Tales' parents in my verses too. 😁

Brinja is also meant to be Gine's first child with Bardock in @anasartdump's verses, where Bardock gets with Gine after Hanasia passes away or they're in a throuple relationship because the idiot is unable to choose lol. I hope I didn't make it too confusing...

"Brinja" is a wordplay from "berinjela", the Portuguese word for "eggplant".

Gine's Mother: Matota

Felt like coloring the sketch of Gine's mom, Matota, that I made a while ago. I wondered how she'd look like with a dark purple hair, and I honestly loved the result! I think I'll keep it. :D I think I'll draw Arugo in the future to match.

DBZ: Amendia's Full Body Reference

Amendia is here, Gine's cousin, close friend and teammate before she joined Bardock's crew. Amendia is far more introvert than her cousin and shyer, not enjoying to draw attention to herself. Like Gine, she values family greatly, which is why Amendia is quite protective of her cousin.

She develops a crush on Gherkin (AnaLee94's version), but was too insecure to confess to him due to his pinning on Hanasia and their different ranks. If they got to be together before the planet's demise remains to be seen, at least there are other AUs where their homeworld is intact. XD

The name "Amendia" is meant to reference both "Amanda" and "amendoim" ("peanut" in Portuguese). I know most Saiyans tend to be named after vegetables, but I couldn't get the name out of my mind lol. You can say this is an exception.

Her design was based on a headshot created by Salvamakoto, which he took inspiration from Cheetara. So, Amendia's armor design took some inspiration from Cheetara too. XD

AT: A Chat In Afterlife

Trade I did with Gurgelz! I loved drawing Oni, honestly he's one of my favorite OCs of his. It's so sweet how much in common he and Gine have!! 🥺 ❤️

We joked about Gine and Onio talking about their husbands in Hell, but once we decided to do an art trade, I really wanted this chance to draw them together. XD Thank you for giving me this chance!

Headshot: Arugo And Matota, Gine's Parents

These are two characters I created thanks to AnaLee94 and our brainstorming haha. As you can see by the title, these two are Arugo and Matota, Gine's parents in my AU. The pink headband Gine wears was a gift by Matota when the former was eight years old, not too long before the latter's passing. After that, Arugo raised Gine by himself, making sure to not only make his daughter strong, but also give her all the love a father could, so Gine would have many memories to cherish.

It's why Gine values family so much, something Bardock never truly had because his parents passed away when he was too young to remember.

"Arugo" is a pun from "arugula". "Matota" is a douple pun, mix between "potato" and the Japanese name "Madoka."

Commission Art - A Saiyan Courtship

This gorgeous piece was made by @rebelwarrior217, commissioned by me! Her style is incredible, I'm grateful for how she perfectly captured what I imagined the scene to be like in my head, :) it's meant to be set in the early years of their relationship. I also have to thank my friend, Mellow-Dreams, for adding colors. 🥰
