He works full time. We have been together for 5 months and we’re exclusive. :) I like him and the chemistry we have, but stuff like this bothers me because I want to feel loved and valued. And I suppose I’m just disappointed he never took the initiative.

could it be that you are making yourself too available to him? He may not be motivated to work to keep you happy and interested in him because you are doing all the work by being available all the time and maybe even suggesting or making future plans.
