@lexistential_crisis has appeared in five Footlighters productions including last year’s “Almost, Maine” as Marci and Sandrine. She’s well versed in the Arts having earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from UC Santa Barbara. Her experience doesn’t stop there though as she’s made a return to her Alma Mater, Citrus Valley High School, where she’s teaching the ComedySportz team. Lex Scanlan will be performing as multiple characters in the @redlandsfootlighterstheatre production of “Love, Loss and What I Wore”. Her characters range from a spoiled brat, a member of a girl gang and a lover of shirts! She states, “so fun to put on so many hats” and that her favorite article of clothing is an extremely old green Guinness beer shirt. “I got it for my dad when I was in middle school, and it didn’t fit him, so I stole it back”! She now wears it as a pajama shirt and that “it’s so worn out but it’s seriously the softest shirt I own!” You can see Lexi perform her multiple characters during tonight’s closing performance in the Redlands Footlighters Theatre production of “Love, Loss and What I Wore”. Viola Rowe has appeared in several productions but is making her @redlandsfootlighterstheatre debut in “Love, Loss and What I Wore”. Her favorite credits include; Hippolyta - Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Goat’s Ma - The Robber Bridegroom, Maria - Twelfth Night and Jordan Baker - The Great Gatsby. Viola plays many different characters in “Love, Loss and What I Wore”, some notable parts are; Merrill, a young woman struggling to hold onto her sense of self and style in the face of trauma, and Lisa, a bride who has to find some unconventional ways to feel authentic and look good on her wedding day. “I just recently got married, so I can relate” she explained delightedly. She also talked about her ballet lessons as a child and that first costume she wore for a performance, a beautiful peacock blue tutu with a matching satin leotard. “My mom even sewed little pink bows onto the tulle for me” she vibrantly remembers. “The tutu was one of the first costumes I got that was made just for me”. The Redlands Footlighters Theatre congratulates Viola Rowe on her recent nuptials and offers a warm welcome to our family. @screenscribe has spent most of her adult life acting, directing and producing several theatre productions and has also spent her time giving her talents and expertise to the Redlands Footlighters Theatre. She participated in numerous Footlighter’s productions such as; “Sweet Nell in Distress” (2020), Almost Maine (2019), ”Our Town (2019), “Proposals by Neil Simon” (2017) and many more. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from the California State University of San Bernardino and has even studied CBS Comedy on their lot. Pamela will be playing Gingy in the Redlands Footlighters Theatre production of “Love, Loss and What I Wore”. Gingy is the “storyteller of the piece” and will have periodical monologues within the show describing a through the ages recollection of memories stemming from the various outfits inside her wardrobe and sketches. “This has been a fun production with a talented group of women who I treasure” she explains with enthusiasm. But, instead of having a treasured article of clothing Pamela instead focuses her attention on what makes her feel good, like; adored textures and the color black. “My closet is packed with both current fashion and vintage” our fashionable actress exclaims. She “doesn’t keep anything that doesn’t make me feel good”.
