leona’s house is so much quieter than yeongju’s, she thinks - but then again, yeongju does have all kinds of siblings. it’s nice not to hear kids screaming all through the house. and it’s even nicer to be spending the night with her best friend. leona’s a wonderful person, and yeongju truly does adore her. and being at leona’s is a nice change from her own house. 

she grins up at her friend as leona comes back into the bedroom, and she reaches out for her, gesturing for her to join her on the bed. yeongju had stripped down to sleep shorts and a tank top while leona was out of the room. ‘so... what’s next, pretty girl?’ she asks, laying back on the bed and stretching her arms out. ‘are we gonna do some super girly sleepover stuff?’

it wasn’t a rare occurrence for carter to have to visit his father at his job, especially late a night like this. his dad practically lived at his office, the only time his son ever got to see him during the week was when he brought lunch or dinner. he made his way into the elevator and up to floor that held his father’s office, holding a bag that was virtually drenched with grease. he got out of the elevator on cue and was met with a surprise. this wasn’t carter’s first time bringing his dad dinner in the mid-hours, however it was his first time seeing his assistant here this late — the same assistant he had grown close to over the past few months. “what are you doing still here,” he questioned. “it’s really late; shouldn’t you be home?”

。*  、— touleen knew exactly why she’d been married off to the other. her father cared about business first, and since his best chance at mending a broken relationship between two feuding families was to marry off his own daughter to the son of the family, he did just that. it had been a few weeks that she’d been married to this man. since the marriage was completely arranged, they hadn’t really been any sort of intimate with each other. they slept in separate beds. they got up at different times. they rarely saw each other unless they were meant to be seen out with each other. however, late one night the male came home, and touleen found herself dressed down, sitting on their kitchen counter, with a bucket of ice cream in her hand. the male walked into the room, and the girl instantly ran towards him. blood stained his face, yet it was still dripping. the only thing on her mind was helping him.   ❛ what happened to you? i-i need you to be honest with me, no matter what.    ❜

nadya was seething. she crossed her arms and let out an angry sigh, “we’re fucking lost.” she hated two things more than anything else in the world — being lost and being cold. she was currently both and she couldn’t have been any more miserable. “we’re lost and i’m cold.” she looked at the boy in the driver’s seat. “i told you it seemed like something was wrong with the car,” she spoke through gritted teeth, hugging herself to create warmth. “i was right and now we’re in the middle of nowhere,” she raised her voice,” in the cold!”
