Some easy swaps to significantly reduce your waste: •Reusable water bottle (preferably steel, but I owned this one previously): 60 million water bottles are landfilled in a DAY. These bottles cannot be recycled, people and it'll take about 450 years for one bottle to decompose. •Reusable thermos for hot beverages: the plastic lids and plastic lined paper cups holding your daily Starbucks drink will outlive you. •Canvas/Cotton tote bags: there is no reason why you should be using a plastic bag, in fact, they are already being banned in a few progressive countries. •Reusable cutlery & chopsticks (preferably steel): plastic cutlery is not fit for its purpose and non-recyclable. •Reusable containers (preferably glass or steel): great for food to-go, take-out alternative, and for buying in bulk. Containers like this glass jar will also keep your food fresher. •Handkerchiefs & cloth napkins are softer on your nose and produce no waste. •Menstrual Cup (this diva cup I bought came with two cups and two portable slips), just try it out ladies. You'll never go back and I've saved tons of money from not buying tampons. •Cardamon seeds are a great zero-waste alternative for breath mints and gum. •Compostable & Reusable dish brush: sponges are not recyclable. •Natural dish soap & house-cleaner (soap bought at unpackaged shop): Natural Soap bought in bulk has no concerns regarding cancer and high-levels of preservatives, it is also child safe. House cleaner is super easy to make at home using natural products and is so cheap! I recycle an old Sriracha bottle and just use water, white vinegar, and some drops tea tree/eucalyptus essential oil. You can add some lemon juice too. ♻️🌿🌏 Hope this helps!
