Algebraliens are funny things but I suppose it's no shock that they exist! If we can have living objects, we can have living math.
They are all eccentric and on some level, quite chaotic. Some algebraliens are a dim sort of chaotic and others thrive off of chaos.
Algebraliens come in many shapes, sizes, and colors. They also have skin. They prooobably have blood and muscle too. I considered bones, but...
These things have no bones.
Gender is NOT a thing to Algebraliens!! They simply don't have it. They vibe with pronouns, though. (Remember: pronouns ≠ gender) You'll find that Algebraliens may have preferred pronouns but they are generally chill-- you may get gently told about the preferences but that's as far as most go.
Some confirmed pronouns--
Zero - He/they (the one with the hat!)
One - She/they
Two - They/them
Three - Xy/xym/xyr
Four - He/they
Five - He/they
Six - He/she/they
Seven - They/them
Eight - They/he
Nine - Any/all
Ten - They/It
Fourteen - He/him
Fifteen - She/her
Two Thousand, Seven Hundred, Sixty-Three(2763 from here on out) - It/its
X - They/any
-
ADAPTATIONS!
Heat Resistance - An algebralien is able to withstand incredibly high temperatures and lava. Somehow. X can be seen during the challenge to find their emeralds drifting through lava(likely unharmed due to their power) and Two, during the 2763000 subscriber special, merely had their skin burnt by lava.
Durability & Invulnerability - Algebraliens have skin that is difficult to penetrate. They're quite malleable. You are going to need tremendous force and effort to pierce their skin and make them bleed. They're also just... really difficult to kill.
I don't know what this is called - Your biggest concern as an algebralien would be dehydration although you could go an extended period of time without water and even longer without food. An algebralien not eating or drinking enough will eventually start to feel the side effects.
-
If an algebralien does not take care of themself, there are consequences.
The aforementioned side effects include worse physical health but also weakened power.
-
POWERS!
You could say the adaptations mentioned above are powers but! By algebralien standards, they aren't.
It's not known where powers originate from, nor is it known why/how it exists-- but it does. The current power scale between algabraliens looks something like this:
2763 > Two > Four and X > One > Literally everyone else
2763 and Two would be on the same level if it weren't for 2763's natural ability to suppress algebralien power. The further away an algebralien is from 2763, the more their power returns.
One is just below Two, Four, and X. She plans to change that, though. Four bested them once but once they gain enough power, they will have their revenge.
Four and X are the embodiment of algebralien chaos.
-
EVERY algebralien has their own little pocket dimension.
They can project or transport themselves into their pocket dimension and powerful algebraliens like Four can transport items into their dimension. They also have total control over their domain-- and I mean total. They can shape it to their will, break the laws of physics, and bend its reality. This does mean an algebralien can trap another in their domain if they play their cards right.
The algebraliens who live primarily at the Equation Playground have doorways to their pocket dimensions that connect to the Playground in case of emergency. These doorways can be used, destroyed, materialized and dematerialized, ecetera, all depending on what the user wants.
-
FUSION!!!
By adding or multiplying, integers can fuse together or unfuse. It takes a lot of willpower from one side to keep from unfusing if the other is against it.
By subtracting, you can whittle a number down to smaller numbers. They have to be manually added together again to refuse and act as a hive mind.
You can kill an integer by division if you use a zero. However, trying to divide powerful integers by zero will instead leave their soul/spirit inside of the zero.
Any symbol or object can be used for this process as long as at least one integer is involved.
As someone who wanted no remorse for One I'm a little disappointed but it was a good episode nonetheless
OOUUJHHH MY THOUGHTS MY THOUGHTS!!!
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR TPOT 20!!!!
SPOIIILERS!!
SPOOIIIIILERS!!!!
LAST WARNING: SPOILERS FOR TPOT 20!
HOW DO I START???
This was a PHENOMENAL episode. I mean like. NEAR PERFECT!!!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and excited for every scene.
Regarding Three! We have someone who is righteous, well-meaning, and selfless. Completely putting others before herself. I will be referring to canon Three with she/her and redux Three with xe/xym. Cool? Cool. I also got some Marcy from Amphibia vibes from her idk
Nine's skateboardlings are my favorite things ever why did they have to fucking DIE!!!!!? THEYRE SO CUTE THEYRE SO XUTE THEYRE SO CUTE THEYRE AO CUUUUTE
One being sympathetic... I think it is fine to give her some sympathy. I just expected a stronger reason for her to be locked away. A RAMPAGE!! Not just one number. I'm talking extra injuries. But what we got was AMAZING!
Two being everything but involved. They have ADHD I know it. Completely in their own world and wondering off when important shit happens. I do the same thing bro.
The voice acting made me squeal. Ohhfhjjfhf I'm so happy about Three's voice.
One has been left alone. Kind of ignored and cast aside. I don't think anyone was doing it out of malice, though you couldn't convince one of that.
One finds the yoylelite that crashed into their planet and kicked it around. Frustrated. She gets powers and decides to show Three. Three shares it with everyone else.
One is FURIOUS. She and Three get into a heated argument and she crushes Three with a tree branch. Ouch. The argument CONTINUES and One has enough. She attacks Three. Three screams in pain as she's cracked and torn to shreds. Her value glitches out. It's terrifying and I think I actually felt a little sick. One did not plan on killing Three dear god
Right after, One makes everyone scared of her. Good job dude you've pushed them all away. You want their love and attention but you have done achieved the opposite.
Seeing everyone turn their backs on her and frightened, One is left with Three's body and no idea what to do. THIS WASN'T WHAT SHE WANTED TO HAPPEN.
Once One is sealed off, everyone splits and Four puts Three in their pocket dimension. I? Don't know how Three ended up in that jail cell because she just SAT THERE in the fourest !
I was not expecting this lowkey. These poor numbers 💔💔😭
I don't know if it's guilt or desperation to not be left alone. Maybe fixing this will get everyone to be okay with them again. Perhaps it is BOTH that pushes One to recover Three.
But I really don't think it's guilt
She has no problem erasing Gaty, Barf Bag, and Basketball. She is smiling while doing it. She has no problem being cruel and vicious and remorseless and I Love that about her. W villain
I think her coming back to her home planet and having a panic attack was a response to the trauma of being left in the moon for 14 years. Killing Three is why it happened.
Getting themself trapped in a loop of making choices that push their loneliness while also not wanting to be lonely is beautiful. Man.
On targeting Two-- Two did the least to One. They bopped her once and ran off. Two just happened to be powerful. One needs that power.
I absolutely CRAVE One having stronger motivation for erasing Gaty on the spot. Two NEEDS to be more involved PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! Like, with Barf Bag and Basketball she WAITED until they were leverage over Donut. Someone who REALLY pissed her off.
Literally everyone except for Two helped seal One in the moon 🥹
I also can't wait to see where Pencil's story goes
And taking Leafy. One. What did you get out of that. You got ragebaited. Leafy wasn't even remotely involved with the show at that point and you decided she was worth making a deal with
One locking Four in the moon.. sealed away by a magical forcefield. Absolute VENGEANCE. Four needs justice though. So did One. Isolating someone forever is not the solution. But I don't think either of them care about that. Everyone looking for revenge instead of proper justice is so juicy. Especially since Four and One both don't know what proper justice looks like LMAO. Four was let off lightly by the post-splitters and got pummelled by Pencil. Maybe he'll understand it better now. Maybe.
One seems to Know people. She's perceptive and aware but she also makes assumptions. Those perceptions and assumptions HELP her in getting her way. They helped her in making deals with Needle, Barf Bag, Bell, and Bomby.
(I want that Storybook in season 6 for no reason 😁)
What does this mean for the redux?
I still really want to go with my original plan for One and Three's origin story. With some revisions. Primarily giving Three qualms earlier, probably caused by getting to know Two and Seven also having qualms.
I want to do a spinoff series set before BFDI, inspired by the subscriber specials and TPOT 20. Possibly set after One's rampage, we see the algebraliens adjusting to life after. High tensions, breaking relationships.. it will end on a bittersweet note as some numbers take their leave.
i want to cover Fourteen there. Two. The aftermath of One's rampage. I really liked the idea of One going there and scaring off who's left or kidnapping them . That's what I thought happened in canon but since they had the same power levels as One when One came back...
I will figure it out! I really like Nine and her skateboardlings.
Three's personality. Xy will start putting others above xymself more than ever when xy are brought back from Four's domain. It's very much so a "I don't care what happens to me" mindset.
Xy really doesn't want problems. Xy just wants to help xyr friend, One, no matter what. It is loyalty. Very very sacrificial loyalty. ADHD too. Prepare yourself for a bunch of fun facts from xym.
I didn't plan for redux Algebraliens to be recoverable. It's part of why they're so damn tough to kill. They're just Like that.
But for the sake of the story!!! They can be recovered but every time, a little bit of their soul doesn't come with and it depends greatly on how healthy they are before they're recovered-- as well as HOW they died. Slow and painful or low on power, they will not come back well. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF IF YOU ARE AN ALGEBRALIEN!! You can keep coming back but eventually you'll be a husk.
So, I will let Three die and be recovered. HOWEVER, xy will be left with chronic pain and fatigue. This is due to xyr shit state prior. Xy will probably stay at the hotel with Two and Saw post-TPOT.
I will save Three's death for when xy comes back. Free from Four's domain and eagerly swooped up by One-- One is met with a shell of the number she knew.
Three is SCARED. Three REFUSES to work with One and is faced with what xy believes could have become if xy followed One after the rampage so many years ago.
They argue. Ish. It's mostly One trying to convince Three and getting more and more upset. One gets too close and Three shoots a beam of light at her. THAT is when Three is shattered. THAT is when One goes fuck and starts trying to bring Three back or X, Four, or Two do it. One is too far gone. Let her be BRUTAL!!!
Like I said-- post-TPOT, Three will be staying with Two and Saw. Saw is trying to help Two with grieving and Three also needs therapy.
Pencil is confirmed to be sent back in time! She will not be disqualified from TPOT.
I refuse to get rid of domains. They are Not pocket dimensions made from Yoylelite power. Every algebralien has one. I will make this work!!!
Two is also still the most powerful. That is very important as to WHY Four doesn't blast them into oblivion when they take his contestants.
An updated algebralien lore post will be made. Eventually. On top of the asks and character proposal requests I have collecting dust in my inbox 😭😭😭
Every algebralien is eccentric, chaotic, and reactive to some degree. This is very important for me specifically because I know I'll forget if I don't write it down.
THAT WATERFALL PLACE LEAFY ENDS UP IN IS IN FOUR'S DOMAIN IN THE REDUX 💔. I can see One having access to it AFTER she gets Four's power but before ...? You're not able to access another number's domain unless they let you in.
Idek if I'll keep the Leafy deal. I WANT them to interact so bad but what does One get out of it? I must think. I really like the idea of Leafy chewing One out after being isolated again. One just retraumatized Leafy. She is not going to get away with that scott free.
Leafy would point out one of One's biggest flaws: her assumptions. She thinks she knows people so well? DOES she, though?
May as well be God. They have a power SO intense that the only number with more than them is 2763-- and that's only because 2763 can suppress Algebralien power.
Casual, easy-going, optimistic, tolerant, and friendly! Two gives others several chances, even if they really don't deserve it. Two is either completely in tune or out of touch with what's happening at any given moment.
ADHD friend! Two has their moments of forgetting about their own power.
They crave validation. They find it easy to get attached and difficult to let go.
When Two is hit with extreme emotions, they are hit HARD. They find it very difficult to recover from negative feelings.
Pre-BFDI Two struggles to keep friends. Stuff just kept happening. In wanting to keep friends, and thus being deeply concerned about what others thought of them, they became easy to push around.
I don't know what One's history with Two looks like in canon. All that's for sure is that she was trapped away somewhere but for the redux, I REALLY like the idea of One and Two being friends before that happened. I'm talking close-- possibly best-- friends. One introduced Two to the Equation Playground.
Following the incident, Two felt very mixed. That is-- was?-- their friend, right? One was good to them, wasn't she? Wasn't she??
Their standing with other Algebraliens either is neutral or positive. They weren't particularly close with many-- although it is easy for them to make friends and get along with others. Two hit it off really well with Eight. Eight is chill, easy to be around. Two likes that.
Two and Eight grew close and became QPPs(queer platonic partners!) Unfortunately, like so many times before, something caused them to split up and stop communicating all together. Maybe it has something to do with Fourteen. Right before Fourteen shows his true colors.
This is their last straw. After so many times failed, Two leaves their planet and goes on adventures. They return once or twice-- long enough to see BFDIA and have a WONDERFUL IDEA.
A sudden spark of motivation.
They should host a gameshow........... Aaaand they find something else interesting.
Hosting a gameshow chews at the back of their mind for years until they decide to use their powers to find the contestants of BFDIA-- they'd be loads of fun!!
They land on Earth in time to stop Spongy and Loser from getting ran over by Four. It's BFB!
Four and Two knew each other in the Redux. They weren't friends but they weren't enemies either. So, Four's quote changes from canon--
"What are YOU doing here? D:<"
Two gives Four a joyful wave, doesn't answer his question, and invites people to join TPOT. For now, it's pretty much the same scene as in BFB 16.
X stays behind. For some reason. Two has a chat with them before some BFBers come in and take them back
It takes a lot of reminders from the TPOT contestants to ACTUALLY start the show-- this becomes a running thing.
Two and Gaty get their time together. New friend unlocked!
After BFB ends, Four and X show up looking for something to do. Two offers them a place at the hotel. Four seems OVERJOYED(totally not plotting to use this as a way to get back at Two for taking his contestants!)
Two's toleration REALLY stands out when they're around Four. He's rightfully upset about Two taking over but the way he behaves back would have most done with him. Four and X get to work the kitchen!
Two is quick to swoop in and save the EXITors from Four when they manage to escape him. Two gives Four a good scold for trapping the EXITors like that and then puts them to work in the hotel diner. Dora responds by breaking a window.
Over the course of TPOT, Two becomes sadder and sadder to see competitors go. Two's made friends with and gotten to understand so many of them.
Eliminated contestants that aren't sent to Two's domain are going missing. Being ever the optimist, Two brushes it off, assuring everyone that the eliminated ones are probably somewhere-- they'll be fine and Two'll just send eliminated contestants to their domain quicker from hereon out.
There are consequences to not thinking things through.
Two and Gaty just keep on getting closer. Two eventually brings up QPRs to Gaty around TPOT 12 and Gaty lights up. They are now in a QPR!!
Gaty is eliminated in TPOT 14. Two is heartbroken and sends her away to the kitchen, leaving the contestants under the impression that she was in Two's domain. But, hey! Two can look on the bright side here-- now they can spend more time with Gaty.
This is the longest and best relationship Two has ever had. It's not perfect-- there's some attachment problems to work out, as well as priorities-- but Two is really happy for once.
TPOT 15: Seasonal Shift.
The timeline is fucked up and Two doesn't know how or why. It's fixed, not by the contestants but a force Two can't perceive, and a few changes carry over. Marker is green, there's a big crack in the sky---
A few changes?
Two RUSHES to the kitchen. It's a mess-- bags are sprawled everywhere, some utensils, and lots of food.
No sign of Gaty.
Shit.
Two snaps their fingers over and over, falling to the ground and covering their face, trying not to cry. Nothing is working. Gaty is gone, it's like she never existed in the first place.
Oh GOD. She never..
Two is left alone again and they can't take it.
Two completely shuts down. It's X who finds them in the kitchen and takes them to their room. Fanny and Ice Cube set up shop in there shortly after.
Two blocks it all out. They stare at their ceiling. They can't bring themself to move.
X brings Two food sometimes. Two doesn't eat until they're alone but it's not enough. They can feel their power draining and they just. Don't care anymore.
What's the point in going on if everything they love will be lost again and again?
This concept sat in my draft for a week 💔 I'm so proud of it
hi bbrah just wanna say whenever pin is mentioned in these i GIGGLE,,, /pos love what youre doing w her brah,,, but uh. i fw the hc of her being autistic heavily,,,, im autistic myself and i also really relate to and enjoy pin as a character so! ya! :D
HI autistic pin anon I have wonderful news. Redux Pin is and always will be autistic!. The win
Three concept stuff! I think everything there should satisfy you!! It explains what happens to xym but. I. Want to babble
One and Three were. Considerably close while they were both free!! Three saw a bestie in One and I'm pretty confident One reciprocated. The only reason One went to the Equation Playground is Three-- who has a connection there, Seven, who's also connected to Two. One lights up when she realizes Two has all of that power and snuggles up to Two.
Look at her, such a good and nice friend to Three and Seven. Two should totally be friends with One. Two is a very lonely person and is very quick to grasp for friends. It is perfect. One manages to socially isolate Two enough for it to have a lasting effect. Their craving for validation and closeness to One makes things work.
(note- the initial plan was for One to introduce Two to the playground but I think this is a lot better!! Two struggles to keep friends but makes them quickly)
Three knows One is plotting and is even IN ON IT!! But hey. When you don't have power and you're suddenly given some shit happens. It is only a sliver but One convinces Two to give her and Three some of their power. It is partly destructive because One and Three don't know how to use it, the other reason it's destructive is because One is going on a RAMPAGE. Three, on the other hand, feels horrible. It's on the Three concept post :]
I'll find a place for Seven I swear. In the plan. They are highly suggestable and may be considered collateral by One. I think Seven either knew and felt horrible and kept The Plan a secret because One and Three are their friends OR was genuinely clueless and just liked having friends.
I don't want to throw this idea out of the door so I may go for it no matter what canon does.l love these four
