Do you think VamDemon has hypnotic abilities while possessing Oikawa’s body? If so, how strong do you think they are? I’m trying to think of a way for Oikawa to manipulate my OC, who is not infected by a Dark Seed, but the idea I came up with is pretty dark, to the point where I’m hesitant to use it.

Hmm, it's hard to say. I would tentatively say "I wouldn't rule it out" in the sense that we kind of saw him use it on...himself(?) in 02 episode 47, but I also don't think he would use it that much unless it were really necessary. For all intents and purposes, he was trying to make it come off as Oikawa being a normal human doing normal human things, and I also didn't get the impression he was able to use his full powerset that easily.

But he was one of those charismatic types in a way, so I think he'd be more likely to go with the usual psychological manipulation as long as there's some weakness he can exploit. The Dark Seeds made it easier for him because they basically provided him with kids with emotional weaknesses on a plate, but, as they say, if you can't make it yourself, store-bought is fine too.

Curious if you have any headcanons regarding Amy, the girl Wallace talked to on the phone?

I imagine her as Wallace’s younger sister and a bit of a deadpan snarker. Her dream is to become a game developer, and her (eventual) partner is FanBeemon -> Waspmon. Though it’s been a minute since I’ve seen HT, so I don’t know if this fits with canon.

I think the only thought I had about her was (in keeping with 02's trend of having its main characters being youngest siblings or only children), she might be his older sister... maybe one who's old enough to have moved out and live on her own (perhaps she was the reason Wallace's mom moved herself and Wallace to New York in the first place?), or still lives with them but is completely absorbed in her own life, and really can't be bothered with whatever her younger brother and his weird dog-bunny thing get up to now that they can basically take care of themselves.

I had never considered her as being younger, but I like your headcanon for her!

If Ken hadn’t become the Kaiser, what kind of person do you think he’d be? Do you think he became kinder as a result of his experience? Obviously he’d still be a kind person if he hadn’t become the Kaiser, but I wonder if he has any lingering anxiety about becoming cruel again due to being the Kaiser.

It's hard to say unless we know what did happen in place of that (did he ever find a support group, if not, how much longer did he have to stay alone?), etc., but I also don't think there wouldn't have been some other event in his life that might have also gotten him to reconsider himself and his actions. In general, I feel like even if the events of Digimon Adventure/02/whatnot hadn't happened in the exact way they did, there are certain realizations or feelings the characters still would have had even with different but comparable circumstances.

If Sora ends up not becoming an iemoto, would she likely take Yamato’s surname? Or is her family still prominent enough that Yamato would take hers, even if she doesn’t have the position?

Sadly, as much as I've tried to look for an answer to this question, I've never found it! Usually for topics like these, I look into Japanese personal blogs and such to get an idea of what the average person might know (I definitely trust them more than Westerners blogging about Japan), but in the case of the iemoto, information really isn't that common, probably due to the specificity of the topic and the fact it varies between families. Furthermore, female iemoto are still such an uncommon thing that it's hard to find precedent. I did see at least one case where the daughter of an iemoto family changed out her surname upon her marriage despite otherwise maintaining her connections to the family and work in the art, but I really couldn't find anything consistent.

That being said, a lot of it boils down to the couple in question as well; while taking the wife's surname is very rare and often even discouraged, especially due to a fixation with "the husband's surname continuing on", there are still cases like an infamous one where a certain actor took his wife's surname because it would have less paperwork. (He still used his old name as his stage name anyway, but that's normal for everyone.) So in the end, it would probably be up to what Sora and Yamato decide.

I like to assign partners to minor characters in Adventure, but there are a lot of minor characters in Adventure and only so many canon Adult-level species. Do you think it’d be weird to have two of Yamato’s bandmates with Wizarmon and Leomon as their partners’ Adult forms (but a different Wizarmon and Leomon than the ones seen in the canon series)?

Nah, I don't think so. I think the general lack of overlapping partners among the core Digimon casts is more of a case of the same reason you don't have major characters with the same name in a work of fiction if there isn't a plot reason for it; in real life, a lot of people have the same name, but doing that in fiction would risk adding confusion for the audience for no reason. I see Digimon partners as being like that; a lot of people will have the same name, or different spellings of the same name, or the same given name but a different middle name, and likewise a lot of people will have the same Digimon partner species, the same species but with different default evolution branches, et cetera.

Do you think Osamu was famous like Ken later was, or do you think his reputation only extended to neighbors, classmates, and teachers?

I have absolutely no evidence to support this, but I personally think that with Osamu it probably was just kept to the neighbors and surrounding acquainted people (mainly because in the flashback in 02 episode 23, assuming Ken's memory is accurate, the most we ever got to see was just neighbors complimenting Osamu and their mother saying he was a "good boy"). Then with Ken, on top of his parents projecting everything they possibly could on their only child left out of desperation/despair/what have you, the Dark Seed pushed Ken to much more extreme degrees than Osamu would have been on his own. (Of course, again, this is just my personal view of it to the very end.)

I kind of attempted making Ryo and Osamu looking like they're dressing up as Ultimate level Digimon, which was a little hard after I realized that Ryo's normal outfit already looks like Justimon, so sorry about that! I do like how the outfits came out, though! Thank you for the suggestion!
