Oh my word, started tying with it and I love it so much. It matches a shirt I just got perfectly, I usually don’t tie more than one or two reeds a color at a time but I think this will be my fall color 🍂🎃🍁

Thread for this next week🦄🧵👌🏽
This is my current thread collection, although I’m pretty sure there’s a couple extra somewhere that I’ll find when I finally clean my room. All of them except one is from Squirrely Stash, I’ve literally never bought thread from anywhere else besides when I bought my first reed kit ever. The one that isn’t from Squirrely Stash was a gift from my former prof when she gave everyone in the studio a spool. I know thread is thread and any color will do, but I love having a colorful reed case and this is the only aspect of reed making that’s really fun for me. Reed making itself is actually kind of relaxing for me and playing on my reeds is rewarding when they work, so being able to choose colors that go with my mood help. Also when the reeds are colors I like I think I’m more careful with my scraping and “craftsmanship” I suppose. I’ve cut down on my reed making because I need to process cane, so I’m excited to use all of them once I’m able to do that. I used to laugh at my old teacher’s quirks when it came to oboe, but I’m definitely developing my own and I’m not mad at it
All of my reed thread plus my new super festive Halloween thread!🎃
This isn’t a great picture, but here’s my new reed thread. Isn’t it beautiful? I love multicolored thread and may never be able to buy thread that’s one color again. I’ll take some pictures once I tie with them, they look really pretty tied.
Creative people: I need your help! This gold and purple thread needs a cool new name. Suggest the winning name and I'll give you 10% off an order from my etsy shop! https://www.etsy.com/listing/237975735/hand-dyed-reed-thread-ff-yellow-and
