You know that scene with Eddie dying? That one when he says: "Richie, I-" and then he dies? When Richie is clinging to him and has to be torn away and dragged away from his lifeless body and it takes the strength of two grown ass men to keep him safe and away from the crumbling house? When Richie looks at the debris and thinks how he'd left Eddie under all this?
Well that's what he saw in the Deadlights. He's taken down and looks around and Eddie, his Eddie is alive. Then they kill that clown bitch and they live happily ever after.
