I Will Fall in Love with You, Over and Over Again...

I absolutely love Epic the musical. This is one of my favorite songs. I wanted to capture the passion behind their reunion. I always see Penelope in yellow In my head, and as a blonde, but the fandom as a whole doesn't agree on that. Notice she is wearing his blue patterned cape and probably has the whole time while he has been away. You can see that he's just come from slaughtering the evil suitors, but I did not want the gore to be the focus... but a simple reality that doesn't frighten her away. I am enthralled by this musical retelling and adore Jorge's tweaks to make Odysseus more likeable.

Peter and the Waves

Made this for a retiring pastor. Paper craft. It’s interesting because once he received it, he said he very much felt like he was in this mental position. He didn’t go much more into it, but I don’t think it’s mere coincidence that God placed this specific story in my head before constructing my gift for the pastor. Isn’t that amazing? When you think that your gifts don’t have spiritual meaning or can’t actively bless others… God uses the most unqualified of us and the most random of abilities to touch the spirit in others. Thank you Holy Spirit. Please use me in such ways, Abba.

I am really proud of this one. It looks like a still from an animated feature film! I went lighter on the black lines, and stuck more to the palate of the subject itself. I think I captured his skeeziness but also theatrical allure, just how the character was portrayed by Robert Carlyle.

I’ve made my monster…

I’m so excited with this piece. I’ve really been inspired by Harry Clarke’s work, and though it takes awhile, It’s very fun to make decisions on all the textures and where the light needs to contrast with the dark.

Of course, it’s Rumplestiltskin centric because the style just suits him so well, but instead of Rumbelle, I really wanted to focus on his tampering with Regina‘s life to create the catalyst for his curse.

I for sure will do more Once Upon a Time in this style because it just fits so well!
