studied for my pedagogy exam 

studied for my English didactic exam

Studying and daydreaming. It's hard to focus for longer stretches. I'm tired of studying and trying to memorise things. At least it's over tomorrow:)

Vielleicht habe ich auch das gelernt: manchmal geht es einfach nur darum, weiterzumachen. Ich muss keine Hoffnung haben, keine Zuversicht, muss niemandem etwas beweisen. Muss nicht daran glauben, dass ich es bis zum Ende schaffen werde. Ich muss einfach nur weitermachen. Meinen Schreibtisch aufräumen, mir einen Kaffee machen, mich über das Licht draußen freuen und weitermachen.

Headteacher told me today that I almost certainly won't be able to stay on at my school and I had tried so hard not to build up my hopes but am gutted now nonetheless 😔 At least I won't have to wait too long to find out where I'll be going after the summer. Just please, please let it be somewhere close enough to drive 🙏

Life update time! The good and the bad.

First the bad: My practical teaching exams would’ve been on Thursday. We’re entering a full lockdown starting Wednesday. Soooo my exams got moved into January, probably the week after my birthday, so that sucks.

But here’s the great, amazing news!! Starting February, I have a fulltime job as a state-employed special ed teacher at not just any school, but my former elementary school. The school in my hometown, the town my parents still live and I lived for 26 years of my life. 5 minutes of walking from my parents’ home. I could not be happier, weird how life works sometimes.

Summer holidays ☀️ I had a really great time at school teaching the last months ☺️ but now it‘s time to relax and enjoy the sun! 🏖
