🧭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 🧭 Today I’m giving you a quick peek of the Compass Necklace I have finished this week! I also have a more in depth video coming because it was quite a technically challenging piece to create! I wanted the wind rose to be able to turn and this seemed a bit easier than it was in reality. A compass is so interesting to me as it assists you in finding your way (home). Throughout centuries it is viewed as a symbol of protection and safety but also as a way to create movement and motivation. The Symbolism of my pieces is something I can really get lost in, pun intended 😂 Eitherway! El famoso Malecón de La Habana. Donde se unen los sentimientos de toda una nación. Entre alegrías, noltalgia, abrazos, besos y cantos van todos los cubanos de alguna forma u otra compartiendo este muro que ha presenciado aquel amigo-hermano que se ha sentado cerveza en mano a contar todas sus historias del pasado; también de aquel que llegó de lejos y se ha quedado asombrado de ver tantasy tantas noches testigos de aquellos enamorados; o aquel de aquella provincia campestre que no tuvo más opción que una cama dura con muslos almuadados que le sirvieron de apoyo al quedarse trasnochado y aquel que no ha visitado, con ojos al vivo olear que su ventana va al ojear de una página flagida de una revista macabra que le ha de recordar de aquel muro que une a La Habana con la mar y que tienes que tocar.
