Our local regular station has moved #wickham #refillstation #zerowaste #community Posted @withregram • @allgoodthingsofwickham #importantupdate #readme On Friday morning, the shop was flooded with run-off from the field behind. Thankfully, no stock or equipment was damaged and the torrential downpour was quite short lived. However the laminate floor was sitting on a pool of water. Upon inspection it was established that we would have to pull out 50% of the shop, and the flooring to clean up, replace the flooring with new and effectively rebuild our custom stockroom. You may know that we were not particularly happy with our location due to the lorries, dust, size etc. and I wasn't enamoured with having to spend hundreds of pounds on a new floor. Fortunately, community spirit has prevailed and Wickham Community Centre offered us The Wickham Room as a temporary solution! This weekend we have cleared out the old shop, and I'm currently sat in a half-built new shop that I hope to open on Wednesday! We are in such a lovely environment here, with the play park and car park directly outside. We also have our own front door. I will post more photos as soon we are a bit more sorted, but in the meantime, please help us to spread the word of our move by sharing this post as much as possible. I hope to avoid too many wastes trips to Shedfield for people. Thank you all for your support and kind words over the last couple of days.
