What I Have Learned For This Week In Creative Writing

In the past lesson I learned the different kinds of Characters also some Characters are real and the others is fiction character I learned also the major character. The Major Character give a too much effort and contribution because they are the one who give a good flow of the story also the minor character I learned that the Minor Character give a important role in the story because they have a connection to the Major Character and lastly the Round Character. It give me a interesting idea so that the story have a twist as you said Maam Tricia the Round Character is from the start they are kind, friendly to you but in the end they are the one who give a lots of suffer to the major character. Also I learned the modes of fiction such as the Myth, Romance, High mimetic and Low Mimetic. For me the High Mimetic and Low Mimetic is new to me when it comes to Modes of Fiction because when I was in junior high school I barely didn’t know this kind of Mode of Fiction. This week the lesson the I have learned is the types of plots the conflict of fiction. I learned in the types of plot is we have different kinds of plots that we use in fiction the linear, Episodic, Cumulative and Circular this kind of plots have a large contribution when it comes to fiction also I learned the conflict of fiction the Man against Man, Man against Society, Man against Nature and Man against Self Conflict when it comes to movies, short stories etc when we see the title of the movie, stories we all know what is the type of Conflict of fiction is that for example the 2012 movie the Ugly Dolls. I already knew what kinds of conflict of fiction is that. Overall this week I learned on how plot and types of conflict work because when it comes to fiction this is the things that you need so that your work is good and the flow of it is better. I also conclude that the activity that we do it help us to be more skill full especially when it comes to English, it help our vocabulary and also it help our writing skills so that the essay that we do is better and perfect.

Creative Writing help us to enhance our Vocabulary, Writing Skills. As a student we need to know this subject because when we turned in college we need to speak English especially when we have a worked we need this. And as of now Creative Writing gives us important part of our life because even though it’s a difficult we can survive this subject but all I can say it’s a piece of cake!!

week 3 progress

This week saw the progression of the alphabet proof sheets! woo! I have at least one of every letter now- except ‘K’ which refuses to reveal itself to me. Both my geometric and organic letters are below- again, I feel that the letters in the geometric set are stronger, but I’m comfortable with the idea of using letters from both sheets. 

I also worked on creating cut-out vectors of some letters - my favourite by far is the “O”. The “T” is pretty cool too.

Halima - Silver - Unit 2 Part C - Reflection 3

Date: 2/8/19

Today I was on BTS by myself, taking both photos and videos the whole morning.

How are your leadership developing?

Our plan changed for the day as only a few of us went out to film so we had bigger jobs than usual which I wasn’t expecting. This also meant I had more responsibility to capture everything on both the DSLR and handy cam. I was also a lot more independent as I was confident in operating both cameras.

Have you had any leadership opportunities you weren’t originally expecting?

I have as I’d also taken the responsibility of doing BTS photography as well as film because today there was a shortage of people.

Have you had to amend your project plan?

I have as BTS photography wasn’t originally part of my leadership project but this wasn’t a problem. I enjoy taking the photos more on the DSLR so I did a bit more of that than film, but seeing as we already had a lot of footage from previous days, tonnes of footage from this day wasn’t necessary.

Were there any other health and safety issues you’ve had to think about?

There were no health and safety issues I’ve had to think about today, everything went smoothly and today was a lot more calm than other days of shoot week.

How are your skills developing?

Today I did some editing on the beginning of the main film. I was working with someone else and seeing as I’d never used premier pro, they demonstrated how to do a few things I needed to know to edit that part of the film such as jump cuts, short cuts in editing to save time, and dramatic effects to create tension. 

Is there anything going particularly well?

I liked the way the music flowed well with all the shots and effects and I enjoyed watching it back once everything was finished and finalised. I also thought the transistions between the scenes worked well with the sound effects.

Is there anything you find challenging? 

One thing I found challenging was working with really short quick clips as it is harder to fix the small details in them.

Do you need to adjust your action plan?

I do not need to adjust it.

Cite some tutorial videos you have watched. To which field do these videos/tutorials belong? What can be the effect of watching these videos?

   I’m always using youtube to watch tutorials. I’m watching tutorial videos for make-up, cooking, fashion, lifestyle, math solving and many more. These videos or tutorials are almost in the field of education like Math and it is also in the field of arts and design. Watching tutorials, at first, I thought it would be useless and boring. But because of these tutorials, I learned to be more conscious to myself and learned to appreciate the things around me. I learned to be open-minded. Also, I learned to try things that I haven’t done. In short, I learned many things.

Have you witnessed cyberbullying on social media? When you say that a person is being cyberbullied? As a responsible netizen, what is your role in helping the person who is being cyberbullied? 

   As what I've written from my previous reflection, I'm always using social media so I've already witnessed cyberbullying, not only once but a lot of times. A person is being cyberbullied when someone tries to ruin him/her by the netizens. 

    Example, someone posted a status with grammatical error; because of that, she will be laughed at and will be told negative comments like "idiot" by the netizens. Those are one of the disadvantages of using social media. There are a lot of perfectionists or judgmental netizens. A person will get cyberbullied because we are trying to be perfect and even the smallest thing or issue gets bigger.

   Every time I encounter someone being cyberbullied, what I usually do is talk to the person who bullied the victim. Then, I will talk to the victim to cheer him/her up and comfort him/her. However, if it happens again, I will not tolerate it and will report it thru social media. There are a lot of social media who can help you in reporting when someone cyberbullied you. To avoid being cyberbullied, be careful always and don't share too much about yourself.
