🔑 annual reflection questions
Super dope reminder from PYM. Cop your own merch here.
Beginnings are so majestically mysterious and wonderful. You can roll your eyes at that statement, but bear with me and ask yourself: had I known what I knew now, would I have started off the same way into this unknown and new thing
Hmm.
I get itchy to end my year thinking about these things: what and where would I have tweaked things a little bit, what results ended up happening, and, will these things define this year as “that year”, or is this going to be a continuing thing?
Several of you have asked how I navigate and savor this poetic, masochistic anxiety. So, here are some of my most favourite “end of year review” questions for… yourself. I’ve scoured books and articles for some of these, they are by no means mine and sadly I cannot remember who they could possibly belong to (I’ve been doing this for over 10 years!). I like to start a new piece of paper and/or document and free-write my answers; then, I go back and fine tune a little bit - get more specific. Then, I bury it away and set a reminder for myself in 6 months. I revisit this and edit it if necessary. Then, bury it away and look at it again on Dec. 30th. See where things took me.
Enjoy. May you take yourself on incredible journeys this year and always. xo L
