Regada 2019
The Regada is the annual water festival of Cavite City,Cavite celebrated every 24th day of June in honor of Saint John the Baptist. Regada comes from the spanish word "Regar" which means to water or sprinkle. This annual tradition has been celebrated for almost 2 decades already.
The 1 kilometer stretch of Padre Burgos Avenue are installed with shower like set-up and being powered with lots of water which comes from numerous firetrucks. The Avenue are filled with sea of people enjoying the festivities during the "Paulan sa Kalye" (Street Shower) which last from 8am until the "Karakol ni San Juan Bautista" ( Caracol of Saint John the Baptist passed through the celebration.

The events also highlights the creativeness of Caviteños as contests like "Dibuho the buho" (Painting in the Bamboo),Kulay at Tubig (A watercolour painting competition open for public and private elementary and highschool student of the city), Pinta sa Logo (A logo competition wherein participants are required to fill the logo of "Regada" with everything related to it in the manner of painting it) and to showcase the artistry in dance and costume design the highlight of the "Paulan sa Kalye" is the "Basayawan sa kalye" from two words "Basaan and Sayawan" which means to shower and dance, This is the streetdancing competition of the festival. The participants for all of the competitions are from Public and Private Elementary and Highschool in the City.
