Regada 2019
The Regada is the annual water festival of Cavite City,Cavite celebrated every 24th day of June in honor of Saint John the Baptist. Regada comes from the spanish word “Regar” which means to water or sprinkle. This annual tradition has been celebrated for almost 2 decades already.
The 1 kilometer stretch of Padre Burgos Avenue are installed with shower like set-up and being powered with lots of water which comes from numerous firetrucks. The Avenue are filled with sea of people enjoying the festivities during the “Paulan sa Kalye” (Street Shower) which last from 8am until the “Karakol ni San Juan Bautista” ( Caracol of Saint John the Baptist passed through the celebration.

The events also highlights the creativeness of Caviteños as contests like “Dibuho the buho” (Painting in the Bamboo),Kulay at Tubig (A watercolour painting competition open for public and private elementary and highschool student of the city), Pinta sa Logo (A logo competition wherein participants are required to fill the logo of “Regada” with everything related to it in the manner of painting it) and to showcase the artistry in dance and costume design the highlight of the “Paulan sa Kalye” is the “Basayawan sa kalye” from two words “Basaan and Sayawan” which means to shower and dance, This is the streetdancing competition of the festival. The participants for all of the competitions are from Public and Private Elementary and Highschool in the City.

Malaya Music Festival is organized by Okada Manila a premier hotel and casino in Entertainment City Parañaque,Philippines. The event is spearheaded by top OPM Artist of the Philippines. The solo act line up are Bullet Dumas,Ebe Dancel and Johnoy Danao. The Band line up are Gracenote,Urbandub,December Avenue famous for their songs Sa ngalan ng Pag-Ibig and Kung ‘Di Rin Lan Ikaw and Mayonnaise who ends the night .
The Music Festival is in celebration of the 121st Philippine Independence Day. This is the first time that Malaya Music Festival is staged and looking forward for more Malaya Music Festival in the coming years and more solid line-up of Artists and Bands to showcase the beauty and art of Original Pilipino Music.
The Event happen last June 15 2019 and the Philippine Independence Day is celebrated every 12th of June.
