Peter experiences a profound sense of loss whenever Wade loses a limb (usually in the most violent, painful ways imaginable)
Everybody, including Wade himself, acts like it's no big deal
It just doesn't sit right with Peter - always makes his stomach churn
He thinks this must make him the weird one - feeling this way when nobody else bats an eye
It's just
That's Wade
Those are the hands he used to hold his precious taco and then make grabby-hands at Peter's not even an hour ago
Those are the feet he uses to dance around to Cyndi Lauper or Bruno Mars or whatever song he has on repeat any given week
Those are the fingers Peter always thinks about intertwining with his own and which are responsible for typing out the most ridiculous text messages he's ever received
Even though something new will grow in place of anything lost (only to be chopped off again at a later date, no doubt), Peter can't just look at one of Wade's severed limbs and not see one of Wade's severed limbs
Then there's the all too frequent instances when Wade will strip the extremity of whichever part of his suit it took with it, to reattach the red leather later
And, well
Peter never can bring himself to leave any part of Wade to rot
So
Unbeknownst to anyone (especially Wade), Peter always swings back to the scene to scoop up whichever body part it is and give it a proper send-off
