jayce accidentally regressing when they’re at the lab, which would normally be fine, viktor’s a flip, he can just watch over jayce til he tires himself out or gets big again, but jayce is having so much fun, an vik wants to have fun too, an all of a sudden there are two little boys in the lab instead of one

nobody comes to check on them til there’s a big noise from the lab n heimerdinger comes to investigate, openin the door to see jay n vik with powder all over their faces cept over their eyes, n when he asks what happened vik tells him “jay wanted to see what would happen if we mixed a bunch of stuff together and that sounded very fun, but!! i told him we had to wear goggles ‘cause lab safety’s very important” and he looks so pleased that he remembered this detail and jay’s still bouncing on his toes from the excitement of the explosion goin “yeah, yeah! an’ it made a big boom, it was so cool!” n heimerdinger doesn’t have the heart to chastise them n instead just tells them they gotta go home

Luther lets him borrow his hoodies and sweaters because they are absolutely huge on Viktor and make him feel tiny and help manage his dysphoria 

Prefers to hum or point instead of talking when he’s that little (his siblings always make it a point to listen to him and respond even when he’s not using words so he doesn’t feel ignored) 

Likes to listen to soft calm music when small 

CEO of handing his siblings random objects as gifts 

Wants to be carried everywhere and will cry if he’s put down for too long 

Generally a very weepy baby 

Will use paci’s but has a bad habit of zoning out while he has one in and accidentally letting it fall out. Pacifier clips are essential 

Obsessed with mobiles. If you lay tiny Viktor on his back under a mobile he will be entranced for hours 

Needs to nap but gets very fussy when it’s time to be put down because he doesn't want to be left alone 

Prefers lots of little snacks over big meals. Loves bananas 

Does occasionally need padding when he gets that little 

Really big fan of soft textures and has a baby blanket he will bring with him everywhere 

If any of his other siblings are regressed he likes to hang out with them. Even if he’s too tiny to really join whatever game they are playing he likes to feel included

I absolutely adore your Ximena Jayce and Viktor one-shots. They’re so sweet and perfect, like optimally tailored they’re so comforting <3

i’m so glad u enjoy them !! here is a little bullet point continuation of my fic caution: children at play that includes more ximena ! (all you need to know is that regressors are known, the boys regressed at the lab when it started snowing, and ximena is a cg for both of them)

ximena shows up to collect her boys as soon as heimerdinger contacts her; they’ve been entertained by his little ditties and close up magic (particularly jayce) but they’re very happy to have their mami come pick them up

she brings an extra coat for jayce and a scarf and gloves for viktor. she knows jayce runs hot but he’ll be grateful for the physical barrier between him and the snow, and viktor will refuse most offerings but the gloves will at least keep his fingers from getting too stiff with cold around his cane.

viktor’s very excited to tell mami about the work they did and their experiments and how good he was at taking care of jayjay even as jayce pipes up that they were just playing, he’s a big boy, viki didn’t need to take care of him

ximena just chuckles and tells viktor that she’s so proud of him and asks jayce what they were playing, which distracts him long enough for ximena to usher them into the nice warm apartment

she helps jayce with his boots first—hard when he keeps swinging his feet excitedly—and then waits to see if viktor will ask for her help. even regressed, he’s an independent boy, but when he quietly asks his mami if she’ll take off his brace so he can get into comfy clothes, she beams with pride and immediately moves over to help him

jayce is already off to pull out his toy box from under his bed, so ximena can fully focus on helping her older boy with his brace. it’s certainly a learning experience, like adjusting to losing two of her fingers and then relearning how to use her prosthetics, but she’s more than happy to take the time to do it

once her boys are both changed into comfy clothes, she sits on the couch with viktor and massages his leg while they watch jayce play with his cars. a couple times, viktor tries to tell jayce to be careful or not run too fast, but ximena pets his hair and tells him that he can relax now, he doesn’t have to be in charge anymore, and eventually he falls asleep with his head on her lap

jayce, of course, then gets jealous and proceeds to climb up onto her other side and snuggle in close, so ximena puts on a movie for him

he’s out like a light in the first five minutes

so then ximena gets to watch piltover hgtv or food network or her telanovelas til her tuckered out baby boys wake back up :)

ximena cooking for her babies,,,viktor loves heat and spice even when he’s regressed and mami’s cooking is the closest he’s come in piltover to what he used to eat when he still lived in the undercity. jayce loves when she makes stuff from his childhood and the smell can trigger his regression sometimes,,,the boys helping their mami make tamales !! being her taste testers,,, and viktor giggling that jayce can’t handle the spice but he knows it’s just ‘cause he’s a little baby and babies gotta eat not spicy things

viktor takes a while to warm up to allowing ximena to be a caregiver for him, and he always calls her “mrs. talis” despite ximena insisting there’s no need for such formality. but one day he can tell he’s slipping and somehow finds himself at ximena’s place, and when she opens the door and sees he’s in distress she just opens her arms and sadly says “what’s wrong, mijo?” and viktor sobs and falls into her arms, immediately regressing, and saying that he’s “sorry, mami, didn’t know where else to go” and ximena shushing him gently and ushering him inside where she’s already got sweetmilk ready for jayce, who she’d just put down for a nap a few minutes ago. she sits viktor down, gives him a cup, and lets him calm down while he sniffles and apologizes to his mami for bothering her, and ximena brushes his hair back and tells him, “you have nothing to worry about, mijo”

jayce is very clingy with and protective of his mami, but he’s happy to share with viktor, because he deserves to have a mother who loves him just as much as jayce does !!

viktor takes his role as big brother/babysitter very seriously. he’s always so proud when his mami entrusts him to look after jay while she runs to the market. jay’s usually just a little baby so it’s not hard—he’s happy to just babble and have tummy time or, if he’s a little older, color while he tells vik about his dream that he had during nap time. he usually only regresses older when he’s having a panic attack/flashback.

jay follows his mami around everywhere. he gets in her way a little bit because he forgets how big he is really, but she doesn’t mind her baby being so close. vik likes to be around her and is more openly affectionate than he is when he’s big, laying with his head in her lap or holding her hand if they’re out and about, but he isn’t quite as clingy as jayce is.

mami puts them down for nap time and gets them all cozy. viktor insists he’s a big boy, he doesn’t need a nap, but then ximena pulls out his pacifier and soft blanket and he can feel himself slipping younger on the spot. he and jay end up cuddling together as they nap, pacis in and ever so comfy.

there are times when vik’s in too much pain to make it to ximena’s house, but he’s cold and alone and he misses his mami. sometimes he manages to get a message out, but other times she’ll appear at his front door as if by magic, a thermos of hot soup and all of her abuela’s remedies that they can try til something sticks. even if nothing helps, if viktor cries from the pain and the fear and frustration, his mami will still be there, sitting at his bedside and stroking his hair and doing whatever she can to just be there for her boy.

ximena gets flashbacks too, sometimes, when it gets particularly cold and/or snowy, but she doesn’t regress. she and jay will cuddle up together in bed, staying as warm as possible as she murmurs that they’re alright, they’re safe, and nothing like that will ever happen again. if viktor’s around or can make it there, he’ll take care of them the best he can, but if it happens when he’s already little, he just crawls into bed with them and tells them that he’s gonna keep them safe, they have nothing to worry about, ‘cause he loves them thiiiiiis much (stretching out his arms as far as they’ll go) and he won’t let anything bad happen to them, okay?

Thinking about Little! Viktor hargreeves with trauma from his past cg (Peabody, probably?) and his siblings trying to help take care of little him :(

Ahhh this breaks my heart :( let Vicktor have a good time please he deserves a break! I do absolutely have thoughts about his though 

Little Viktor can get very clingy and doesn’t like to be left alone ever. It feels too much like he’s being ignored 

Luther has taken to carrying regressed Viktor around with him very frequently. Diego likes to carry Viktor too but Luther’s superhuman strength makes it much more sustainable for him to be the one holding Viktor most of the time 

Viktor also hates small enclosed spaces both when he's big and when he's little. It gets worse when he’s small though. Klaus specifically is very understanding of this fear (since its one he shares) and is the first to volunteer to stay behind with Vicktor is the family is going somewhere too confined 

Baths are an absolute no for little Viktor. He doesn't like to be washed by another person. It reminds him way too much of his time with Peabody 

Unfortunately little Viktor does still need a reliable way to get clean. So far the best method is to play some kind of game involving water like turning on the sprinklers and letting him run around in that. The second best method is a fully clothed Luther standing in the shower holding a fully clothed Viktor 

Viktor also has a complicated relationship with music when regressed. He finds it very soothing but it is also occasionally a PTSD trigger for him. Five spent a lot of time putting together playlists of songs that Viktor has never responded negatively to. It's not 100% reliable but it does a pretty good job most of the time 

When little Vicktor does have a flashback Five is the best at calming him down. He’s no stranger to PTSD and has picked up a lot of tricks for dealing with it
