Reinhard is more the Kick Saint I swear to god. The little tremble in Cecilus’s voice as he got to experience Reinhard though… what a battle junkie my goodness. Groovy did call Cecilus out on it earlier but still.

Alsooooooooo. Ik Reinhard and Cecilus do have an actual duel at some point so I’m real curious to see how Cecilus would do where he isn’t nerfed and screwing around. Reinhard still will obviously wreck him but the gap would be interesting to see.

Oh. A thing I’d like to bring up too is Julius considering Reinhard’s entire strength a thing from the “realm of nightmares” like yeeeesh. It’s not wrong. However it’s clearly more signs of Reinhard lacking people whom accept him in his entirety.

Oh boy. Tappei sure ain’t shying away from the fact Reinhard is indeed Cecilus’s foil. Of course this guy made Reinhard have no sign of exterior from Groovy and Moguro too despite the collar.

Silly Reinhard earlier was harping on about how he’d certainly not escape a fight with a Divine General with no issue whilst wearing this collar especially then we flash forward here and look at that, yet another example of not trusting what self loathing unreliable narrator Reinhard says about himself.

Regarding the exchange at the end here, this is very impressive from Reinhard considering he is 100% weakened + is using a subpar weapon. Cecilus is also using a subpar weapon but he seems to be maxing out his speed yet it’s still not enough to make Reinhard break a sweat.

I did believe Reinhard was obviously the Strongest out of the 4 in that club for each respective nation but seeing the wide gap sure is something.

What a menace. A wonderful one, but nevertheless a menace. I concur with Cecilus on being impressed w/ Julius tho. Honestly, he’s been rlly impressive on a martial lvl this entire SS.

Aside from that. Makes sense that all Spirit Users in Volakia are evil ones based on the cultural views around Spirit Users here. The negative vibes did need to come from somewhere.

Now. Small thing. But Cecilus speaking of desiring a foil here in the deluge of all his theatre language is noteworthy. It seems the guy is desiring an equal to him. Reinhard ought to fit his foil desire rather nicely since he really does seem like Cecilus’s foil.

Okay, Y’know what. I re-reasd this again and Julius is so dramatic on this hero sword stuff. He really compliments Cecilus’s desire for dramatics I swear. Both of these muppets are so dramatic.

Eh, atleast Reinhard will pop over before Julius keels over. And hey, a local Felix is around. So if Julius does get his limbs to go bye bye the cat can plop those back on.

Omg Julius you don’t need to say what your thinking all the time LOL. Reinhard did not need to hear you be concerned about his mere presence nuking one of your Spirits pfffffft.

Aside from that moment Reinhard at the end here is giving me the same vibes he did in LN 1 against Elsa with his whole gentleman comment. Groovy and Moguro are so cooked.

Speaking of cooked things. Vincent whyyyyyy are you using theatre BS at the start here? Nuh-uh, no good. Bad vibes. Bad shit is gonna happen soon.

I like the framing of this scene a bunch to go from highlighting how Groovy & Moguro are brutes to showcasing Groovy’s cunning with a great use of a meteor.

And since I’m on the subject of the meteor these being magic gloves is very noteworthy to me since the only other magical gloves I’ve seen in this series are those weird ones in Battle Ballad Roswaal utilized that apparently have stopped a holy sword before. These gloves are clearly not the same one however I ponder if they were based off them.

Anyhow. Reinhard being the Kick Saint again lmao. Guy doesn’t need that silly Dragon Sword fr.

Impressive of Julius to be doing all this with merely swordsmanship and no Spirits. Perhaps he will not be as nerfed as I thought he’d be in Arc 6.

Shuffing past that muse of mine and those last 2 sentences with Moguro feels like Reinhard being described ngl. Reinhard got to where he was on the Lugunican power tier from ridiculous strength rather then talent or genius.

Oh my. Groovy openly admitting Balleroy was his friend was not what I expected. It was clear he had a good view of Balleroy yet I didn’t expect this lvl of commitment.
