When I started writing my book, Reinventing You: Simple Steps to Transform Your Body, Mind, & Spirit, I had no idea what God was going to use it for. Initially, I thought this inspirational message was meant to help others along their challenging transitions. To help them see these painful changes in their lives as stepping stones to grow, be transformed, and to blossom fully into the woman God designed them to be. Today, I have a new perspective on my book. Could it be that all along the Lord knew in advance the traumatic twist my life would take? Was He actually preparing me for this roller coaster journey with my mom who is now facing malignant brain cancer? Or for this dark season in my life in which my husband is unemployed? In awe, I am blown away that the Lord can guide me to pour out my heart and soul on every single page and then turn around to minister to ME. While I don't know what's at the end of this journey, I do trust that it will ultimately be a place of peace, joy, and a brand new set of wings to soar!
