Re the "chihuahuas are fennecs" person, I had an online friend i had known for well over a year insist that chihuahuas were technically rodents. She argued violently that this was the case so I sent her a Snopes page, a page of Chihuahua mixed breed dogs, and a rat skull next to a Chi skull explaining how rodent teeth work. She blocked me lol

I just wanted to share this photo of Pete, my dog. You can see his grey hairs. We rescued him when he was a little less than a year old, by our best guess. It’s taken him this long to get comfortable enough to sit in a lap–this is the first time he ever did, and he fell asleep there for about twenty minutes. I’m so proud of him even if my legs were extremely asleep by the end of it.

The cat’s just a lap-stealing asshole.

I really love how Pete has just accepted his fate here.  He chose the lap throne, so now he’s just gotta deal with the fact that it comes with a cat.  I’m so glad that you get to experience the joy of having your legs slowly go bloodless under the weight of not just one animal, but two!  You are extremely blessed and so are your pets <3

Tbh someone needs to get the reylo therapist actual help. She's having some sort of paranoid delusional break and needs some professional intervention. But she spent so much time building up an echo chamber on Tumblr that she isn't gonna get it. I'd be more sad if she hadn't been so cruel to so many people, but as it is it's just sort of exhausting to see. She's clearly delusional, the IP post makes it so clear, but she's put herself in a place where she can't get help.

I also firmly do not believe she works in the mental health field (or at all), but if she does at least she's surrounded by people who might see the signs and act.

yeah like i dont really feel much sympathy for her but man she obviously needs real, professional help. reylos have done and said a lot of batshit things, but its never gone this far before.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: they think that any hint of reylo being canon makes their ship good, instead of realizing it just makes canon bad.

Exactly. It’s C@ptain Sw@n all over again. “Our ship is canon and therefore it’s better than all the other ships.” And maybe the canon status of a ship could be an indicator of its quality... in a world where all ships are equal. Unfortunately for r3ylos, we do not live in that world.

r3ylo as a canon ship does not make sense. For all the ship-tease TLJ did (and Ruin Johnson continues doing), it slammed the door on romantic r3ylo quite decisively. If r3ylo were to happen in TROS, TLJ would have to have ended differently. ESB had Han and Leia confessing their love and kissing. AOTC had Anakin and Padmé getting married. TLJ had Rey closing the Force connection with Kylo, visually portrayed by her closing a ship door in his face. One of those is not like the other two.

Canon doesn’t mean a ship is good or more valid. R3ylos would do well to relearn that lesson.

I think it’s normal and fine if you feel uncomfortable about it but I also think it’s normal that people ask that–I’ve been asked a few times and I’ve asked someone else once (tho never obvious lore dragons). It is part of the game mechanics and a lot of people don’t see it past that. You could try putting a note in your profile or something about it, though–that would hopefully prevent you from being put into an uncomfortable situation.

This is a good point about the profile thing. Mine is kind of a mess and I should really find a new way to update it or something. Also yes I totally get that people will message to borrow dragons, just to clarify. I’m weirdly on the fence about a ton of stuff like this, like I get both sides but still ultimately end up baffled and in need of blabbering about it to help myself process and assimilate things better. I think I’m just starting to climb out of my reclusive phase just slightly, which is why I came back to blog. I miss interacting like this with you guys and it feels so cathartic and heals my weary soul. (Thank you for this input btw, I appreciate it. ♥)

Re humans love making normal things tiny: I tried to do a sort of Marie Kondo thing last year. It was going fine til I got to my doll clothes and opened up the shoes because there is no way that holding literally any teeny tiny pair of shoes is going to do anything but spark joy. Look at the shoes. They're just like big shoes, *but they're tiny.*

honestly i think this is the most human thing i’ve ever read.  humans look at a thing and go ‘ah, yes, that sure is a thing’ and move on.  but then they look at a tinier version of that thing and it’s just, “yES??? this is perfect, i love this”.
