My friend Ale was detained by ICE in Tucson yesterday. She has done so much for the community , being a immigrant rights and reproductive rights organizer. She also helped with food donations when we went to D.C. She deserves so much better.

Coming back to the states hasn’t been very easy. For me personally my head has been all over the place with school, planning events, getting back to the heart of my organizing- educating the youth, etc. But most importantly- i haven’t been able to think straight knowing @sor_alee is still in ICE detention. No one, i repeat, NO ONE should be behind those walls. It’s been weighing on my heart. i have been holding back many tears. So took advantage of this weather to do some prayers, cry my tears, and ask for the strength to be a warrior for her, her freedom, my own freedom, and our freedom as a collective. May Elegua show me clarity on this path and show me the way to be the warrior that is needed for my own sanity and wellbeing and my community. Our personal freedom is forever intertwined with the world’s. It’s time to take responsibility for our lives, actions, and our impact in the world. #ReleaseAle #AbolishICE
