can you tell me how do you imagine the dynamics between Ymir and Historia? (the real Historia) I have this feeling that they would not get along. i think their personalities are very different and incompatible.

I don’t get what you mean, Anon? Ymir knew the real Historia, she literally saw through her façade and was the main reason Historia started acting like herself instead of trying to please everyone. Ymir and Historia’s interactions we see throughout the Clash of the Titans arc are real, and this is pretty much how I imagine them. You can check out our Yumihisu tag to see for yourself though haha, I drew them a bunch of times.

Anyways, I don’t think they’re incompatible: both of them were a good influence to each other. Ymir taught Historia to be selfish and to know her worth, Historia caused Ymir to open up and be compassionate (even though Ymir already decided to only live for herself at that point). They could bicker from time to time because of how harsh Ymir might sound when she’s talking to others, but it didn’t stop them from being in love before, so why would anything change? And I don’t really think they’re so different either. It’s not like it would’ve made them a bad couple, opposites attract you know, but still: Ymir noted how similar they were in a lot of ways, this is one of the things that sparked her interest in the first place. And honestly, do you think Ymir wouldn’t have a fucking blast listening to Historia shitting on every single person around? She’d piss herself from laughter and tell Historia how much she adores her, even if she gets the same treatment for enjoying herself too much and getting Historia annoyed (like in AoT Castes).

Oh, heh, my Honest Opinion, eh. Even though it’s exactly as honest and subjective as anyone else’s? :p

This one is actually a super tough one to answer with any kind of pretense to objectivity, because a bunch of things turned me off it, most of which weren’t even its fault. First, last week I was super into a book and impatient at any interruptions and second, I’m still extremely resentful at Teenage Bounty Hunters’ cancellation and can’t help but compare any similar Netflix comedy to it, however unfair that is. 

You can probably predict from that how much I ended up liking it. D: I did chuckle at the coincidence of somehow both the Utopia Falls couple involved in the f/f storylines and I’m genuinely curious at Katie Douglas’s career trajectory, but yeah, I didn’t love it and probably would not recommend it just for the f/f? Max, the wlw character, is an outsize personality and gets more screentime than you’d expect, considering she’s the friend of one lead, so proportionally a slice of half the screentime pie, but her story’s a bit...scattered, for me.

It’s very interesting how the antis be breaking out the science books when Iris does something amazing on the show. All of a sudden it’s not scientifically possible or it defies logic. Huh? Are they serious? You mean the show that is about a man that was struck by lightning and can now run faster than the speed of sound. That show? The one that has a man that can stretch like rubber. A woman that can blast cold shit out her hands. Who just had a villain that can travel through mirrors. That you can travel to other worlds. That can build complex shit in 15 minutes. Who has knowledge of shit they don’t have degrees in. That show? Gtfoh with the bs. The racism shines especially bright when Iris importance is highlighted on the show. When they can go into these said science books and point me in the direction of where it states how one can gain powers from being struck by lightning, I’m all f’kn ears. Until then please stfu

They ignore all the illogical shit on this show (look no further than their defenses of Frost’s cryo-enhanced elecktrokinesis from last week), but want to whine whenever Iris’s importance is highlighted. They are so blatant when it comes to their misognoir, and they can get the fuck out with that. We won. They can stay pressed.

Remember last year when The Mandalorian trailers pretended like the baby didn't exist? Now he's in every other shot and the posters.

Yeah, but that makes sense. Charging Mando with the bounty on a fifty year old, that turned out to be a tiny baby Yoda was the big mystery of the pilot episode. They couldn’t reveal BBYo in the trailer or any of the promotional material for the first season, because it would have spoiled the “OMG moment” when Mando found the bassinet. Also the big reveal was a viral sensation and bought a lot of people into the franchise, so it was a clever move. They know he’s a big draw to the show now, and he’s not just a one dimensional cutie to keep people tuning in, he’s got potential to have an interesting storyline with Mando trying to finding his people and his powers strengthening. And I’m not complaining about content for my lil’ green bean son hahaha!
