There is a man. A man who speaks to his people. Words of honey and gold spill from his lips as though it were a faucet with no stopper. His praise, his divinations, his very existence enthralls his people. He becomes gospel.

He must die. For one who is so revered, so loved, he is also hated. One of his own will take the dagger that this man gave him and thrust it into his back. He will join others, non-believers, in erecting this man on a pillar of wood. In doing so, a betrayal becomes legend becomes truth becomes genocide.

Lifetimes of manipulation will twist this man’s words until they are unrecognizable, until they serve only those in power who wish to control the masses. His name will be spoken as a prayer by those who blindly follow and as a curse by those who have been hurt. Corpses of the mutilated will cry out for justice. Souls of the supposed damned will repent for sins they cannot help but to commit.

Because if he were truly of a being such as Him, a man is the last thing he would be.

All for the words of a man. A man who rose after being pinned. A man who claimed to be the offspring of something ethereal. Who will inspire his followers to kill in his name, a bloody grin stretched upon his lips and a cackle stuck in his throat for the greatest deception of today.
