In a Situationship with God

I've left you a long time ago yet I find you still lingering in my life.

People ask about you the way they ask about an old lover, as if it's a sensitive topic.

I find myself getting reminded of you, wherever I go.

Sometimes I remember how I cursed at you, and how you turned your back on me. The times where I cried to you at night. Asking what's wrong, what's wrong with me.

What sin could I wash away.

I cried, and I begged.

"God helped my anxiety" this, "God guided me" that, where the fuck was he when we were suffering and attempted multiple times? where was he when we had severe paranoia that we couldn't do anything without feeling watched? where was he when we got so bad that we cried every night, praying to be 'normal again'?

but yeah sure, just tell yourself that God helped you with your anxiety as billions suffer.
