Hi I would like to order a 'fuck this show and the horse it rode in on', thanks.
If you dropped Reloved, but want to know what's happened...for some reason. Here ya go:
-Akin's trust issues are only addressed in the workplace and the only things mentioned are the like 3 random things he used as excuses to believe Than was cheated
-The intern is the only person that came close to calling him out for the lack of evidence that apparently broke all of his trust
-Meya took Mawin to meet Than's parents and introduced herself and Mawin so now they know they have another grandchild and Nene knows she has a brother
-Mawin and Nene are the most well adjusted and mature people in the show and just roll with it
-Than's gym has been bleeding money for months and he didn't know cause he was busy thinking with his dick about Akin. So now they need to close that branch and focus on their main branch.
-Something is happening with Akin's parents so now they need to do long distance...I think. It was at the end of the episode and frankly I was barely paying attention.
-They fucked many times
-Don was in the preview!?!?!
Update. Reloved did it. Absolute garbage fire of a show. That decided to fuck up the biggest thing going for it. What a shame. I hope Bee and Year get to play a couple in a show that’s actually well written next time. They deserve it. Like that Mileapo show from last year that I will not name. Which was practically perfect up until the dogshit writing of the finale. Wether it’s two characters completely doing a 180 on their personalities out of absolutely nowhere, to make one of them a “twist villain” that doesn’t even work from a literary analysis perspective; or killing off a character from one couple solely for the purpose of “fixing” the primary couple. It’s simply garbage writing.
Who is Mawin’s bio dad?
Than - the gayest man in the show
Akin - he had amnesia actually and it was him who has the one night stand
Sun - Than’s deceased brother
Pond - he was a player in college and maybe used Than’s name
Mawin’s mom - she is both parents somehow
Don - idk he’s there
Nut - he is indirectly the reason Than and Akin broke up
Mawin is his own father - time travel shenanigans
Literally some random dude who hasn’t been introduced and never will be
Than’s parents - both of them. At the same time
Ek I mean Max who deserves better
Me - what can I say? Oops. My bad
Obviously most of these are jokes. But if one of the joke ones is the truth than I’m claiming that I called it all along
This is especially important because it turns out Akin thinks he's a giant cheater who probably slept with multiple women while they were dating and doesn't deserve to know he has a son. Apparently.
Honestly? I'm kinda with him on this.
So... basically, Akin was completely convinced Than was cheating and decided to solve that by ghosting him with his child? And somehow the serial cheater that he thinks Akin is... has also never done anything or dated anyone since they broke up. The narrative of this show and their relationship and who they are is... fascinating to me. So far. But it's also getting frustrating because the two POVs we get are so, so different. I just wanna know the truth!
I haven't finished the episode yet but I thought of something about Akin that is honestly pissing me off more than anything else.
Akin think Than is Mawin's biological father right? He's hiding that from Than. And the excuse I've seen for that is that Mawin's mom doesn't want him involved so he's respecting the mother's wishes. Which, personally, I disagree with but I can acknowledge that Akin thinks he's doing the right thing by respecting Mawin's mom there.
BUT. And this is important. If he is hiding the fact that Than is Mawin's father in order to respect her wishes, than why the absolute fuck has he not told her that Than is back in Mawin's life and is unknowingly forming a relationship with him? She has the right to know that Mawin's father is back. Do I believe that Than is Mawin's father? No, I don't. But Akin believes it. So why isn't he letting Mawin's mother know what's going on. At this point, he is hiding things from both parents.
I understand that Akin has insecurities. Especially surrounding his relationship with Than. I will even go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he justified in those insecurities. But I don't give a flying fuck about his insecurities when he is specifically hiding things from a child's parents. Especially considering we know that Mawin's mom really does not want the father involved at all. So much so that she never told the dad. And Akin knows this. And he's choosing not to tell her things about her own child that is in his care because doing so would mean he has to admit to the relationship he once had with Than. That he abandoned. And he is not ready to face what he did wrong in the past. He can't even admit it to himself. So he has to hide things from everyone otherwise he will have to face the pain he caused himself and he can't do that.
Mawin's mom has a right to know who is around her child. Especially when that person may or may not be the child's own father. And Akin is keeping that from her.
Editing to add: Just finished the episode. Now Mawin is forming a relationship with his supposed paternal grandparents that no one but Akin knows about. Which Mawin's mother most definitely has a right to know about. No, Akin did not realize that's where they were going, but that's still something that he should be telling Mawin's mom. If Than is actually Mawin's dad, what Akin is doing is removing Mawin's parents from any ability to make any decision that involves Mawin. I do not care about his reasons. He needs to be an actual adult and start communicating. With literally anyone.
