not saying anything BUT . two consecutive days of feeling human. interesting.

hearing that a broader group of other people have also within the last few years started sharing in my apprehensions regarding long furbies that "we are irreversibly trashing large quantities of these secondhand toys when they're already only getting more prohibitively expensive as it is, still-working secondhand specimens are becoming rarer even without being turned into meme art pieces, and suitable and cheaper alternatives exist anyway," and have apparently started a small movement of using reproduction pieces. however. i was not expecting that these specimens and movement would be called "vegan furbies" and "going vegan."

#remarkable.#although frankly i have to assume this was initially born largely out of necessity due to secondhand furbies getting more expensive #so people needed to find new avenues if they wanted to keep making customs (the thing that half-contributed to massively spiking resale)#i would have expected the 2011-era furby custom scene to be bigger. those things are actual landfill fodder anyway so you might as well.#it must have something to do with the internal construction or lacking ability to replace the screen eyes or something #switch speaks
